That our family was approved for the Rescue of "Suzi" and we will be bringing our new 4-legged addition home on Saturday.

Only concern we have is her aggression with other female dogs as well as big dogs.

Something the wife and I are willing to work on for the years of joy she will bring to our household.

3rd times the charm I guess. :)

When I brought my girl home, I leashed her and slept with handle around my wrist. ....if that helps.

I read that somewhere but didn't think it was feasible. How long did you do that for? How old was she at the time? And lastly, did she go back to handling being in the crate after her "freedom"?
Thanking you in advance

She was a baby, 12 weeks. I did it for 3 nights till her crate arrived.

Mystic loves her crate. It's her home, even after she was given full run of the house it was her safe place.

Adjustment of course will be different of course , as Suzi is on her 3rd home and is older.

Make her crate comfortable. Toys, bed etc

Thank you for some great tips and advice. I may call on you from time to time, if you don't mind hearing from a PITA. ;)

Congratulations! There are several past threads with advice on dealing with the aggression issue. Lots of good advice in them.
As far as containing Suzi until her crate arrives if you have an en suite off your bedroom putting a baby gate across the door so she can see you but still be somewhat contained may help.

Baby gate idea would work too.
Possibly borrowing a crate for a few days until ours arrives

Just sawa a pic of her on ABARS FB page; she's adorable. Take good care of her. She'll love you forever.
