Is that a great dane you got there?

:DI was out last night with Thor and my neighbors with their friends as usual were over. The guy asks me if Thor is a Saint Bernard, I smiled and said "No he's a mastiff." He's oh "He looks like a St. Bernard."

Was he drunk??? In need of glasses??? Legally blind??? I'm baffled.....

I wonder this all the time lol... but as someone that has been obsessed with dogs all their life I think its hard for me/us to comprehend how little the average non dog person knows about breeds.

Well I've had multiple saints, and uncle has had them his whole life. Has 11 pups on the ground now which is where all our pups have come from oing back to the 70's. Saints are'nt very common. I would think if you know that breeds name, you would at least know something about them. Colors, size, shape, fur, head. I mean not one little bit of a dane looks like a saint. hahahahaha.

Maybe they had the same color eyes. hahahahahaha

You'd think the movie Beethoven comes to mind, but some people don't know. Think I'll buy Thor a keg to wear around his neck.

My dad had no clue what a St. Bernard was or looked like.
