We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Is it aggression, fear or protection?

he did not get as much socialization as a puppy like his parents did because my trainer closed shop and no longer had classes. I later found out that the neighbor boy and weekend vacation renters next door had teased him while I was working. He was almost a year old by the time I found a social class for him. I did take him out in the public as much as I could but he had already developed a distrust for children and many ethnic people. Anyone with darker skin tones and accents seem to get his attention. I attribute that to the vacation renters as they were more often ethnic or foreign and often very loud requiring my needing to ask them to show some consideration and keep it down. I'm sure he perceived my anger towards them and formed an opinion as well.

At his age, I think the reaction was a bit too much. He's far from being mentally mature, molossers are fully mature after 2.5-3 years old. What will he do than? I'd do more socializing with him, slowly put him in stressful situations and crowded zones, as well.
