Is 90 lbs for a 6 month old cane corso an ideal weight?

Thanks Hector..we are first time owners of this breed. He's just so strong and large for 24 weeks, so I wasn't sure. He eats Raw, but alot of it. We are still learning about Cane Corso..

One thing you will learn is that there is no real answer to your question. These giant breeds have such a large range of growth rates that there can be no ideal weight for a single age breed-wide. Like mentioned you want to go by body condition not weight to ensure that they are growing at the proper rate for them.

Thank you smokeycat..we are just learning. There's so much variation in the day to day life of the cane corso..or ours anyway. He is such a joy in our lives. Can't believe how much a person can truly love a pet. He's like our baby..big big baby!

As long as he is not fat, he is fine.

She keeps taking the words out of my mouth;)
You can't fight genetics. Just don't over feed. You want a lean dog not a fat one. Feed appropriately and let genetics handle the rest.
