Increased hunger

I was thinking my Tank's appetite would begin to decrease by now since he is around 15 months old. He has never frantically searched for food until starting a couple weeks ago.

I already feed him about 5.5 cups of kibble a day. He is getting 4health beef no grain kibble from tractor supply.

He is half AM Bulldog / half Corso and I figured he was done growing except maybe he'll fill out a little more.

So my long winded question is: Why would he be so Hungry all of a sudden?

And a secondary question is: Should I feed him more?

Titan ate like a horse for a couple of days last week. I fed him extra because he was hungry. Titan is 4 yrs old and he should be done growing. He usually eats his 2 lbs of food and he's good for the day.

He definitely has more filling out to do. Head looks like it should be getting bigger also. This (hunger spikes) happens to Carma about every 4 months. My vet told me to increase her food from 3.5 cups per day to 4.5 cups for 2 to 3 weeks when she is having her hunger spikes.

Thank you all for the comments so far! Tank is our first Mastiff type. Up until now we've had boxers, so growth spurts this late in the game is new to us. I've been telling people I think he is done growing.

I do tons of reading on here, but it was just hard for me to believe he'll still get a little bigger even if it's just filling out.

LOL. Mastiffs are quite unique. :) He is still growing. Once his eating slows again you will have to get a new weight and see how much he has put on.

I'm looking forward to seeing where he ends up at. Thanks!

My girl eats more during the winter months usually too! Along with the occasional days where she can't eat enough and she's 7 years old.

Zoey is 106 pounds and 3 years old.
She gets about 3 cups of kibble and a can of wet food per day and she usually leaves a little kibble in her bowl, dont worry it doesnt go to waste,
Abby is 1 a little over 12 weeks and a week and a half age she weighed 27.7 pounds she eats two cups of kibble of her own a day with a little canned but she goes behing Zoey and polishes off what she wont eat.
If I put some special scraps or rice in Zoeys food she will polish everything off. She however is ready to eat any human food she can get same with Abby.
