  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

i wish I could hunt off my back porch.

Love all the animals you have in your backyard. I have the occasional deer, a coyote pack comes around. There are several animals when they do come around the house. Raccoon, squirrels, chipmunks, a hawk and a turkey vulture and that is about it. Saw a fox once. Not bad considering we are in the city. Oh, and lots of groundhogs and a crazy number of frogs.

I like your wildlife too. I do have the birds, but the squirrels annoy me because of my bird feeders (and I'll never really get rid of them because my grandson wants to feed them peanuts all the time!), the pigeons annoy me because they are like flying rats, and, then there are the real rats that live here in the city, etc. I do like watching the fox, and one day I was lucky enough that a hawk landed in my tree...that was awesome! Of course all the other birds were "whoosh" gone and didn't return for about 36 hours..lol. Once in awhile I will see deer in the reserve on the other side of the street, and then of course there are the feral cats. I kind of miss the bears in California (never thought I would say that...lol). You're lucky Ruth :)

I even miss the beavers that use to stop up the creek on my property in California and cause flooding! And the wild turkeys...on and on...not sure I'm a city person!

Nice! I had to rescue a turtle from daisy's jaws last weekend. Took it down to the pond and waited a few minutes for it to come out and disappear into the water.

I live in the center of Baltimore city. I have a large very old piece of property. Big fence and dogs. But inside is all trees grass and a pond. I feed the birds. We count the spiecies and mark them off in a book. 27 different types of birds.

BUT we also get rats. They come to the bird seed and the water. I don't mind them but don't want to see to many. I have outdoor cats that live in my garage. They kill the little ones in the spring. But not the big ones.
Gaston and my Dashound named Django are the rat patrol. Django goes in low to flush them out. Then the big guy finishes him.
I also have a very powerful and accurate air rifle. If we got infested.

Crossbows may not be allowed during bow season, but most likely they are legal to use during rifle season. I wouldn't use a rifle that close to a neighbor but I would use a crossbow!
