lol this is turning into one of those fila threads everyone likes to read so much. if your too aggressive its just going to make the other person defensive and show you the middle finger; so might as well say it nicely and let them think on it. See the thing with advice is its just that cause at the end of the day they can do whatever the fuck they wanna do!!!

seriously!!!! I have owned this breed for 20yrs, have never bred a litter(don't care to, not enough good homes). I know what this breed is about and that is why I have it. I come here for entertainment, friendship, knowledge and to be able to discuss my breed with others who understand them and do not think I should put them to sleep because they are not "Lab" friendly. I do not come here to deal with judgemental bullshit by the same people over and over again. I posted my girl bit someone, because I needed some support! if I just wanted attention and to destroy MY breed I would have posted on facebook! get my point! if anyone has an issue, message me! I answer my messages. no reason to trash and question like a child those who have had this breed successfully for many, many years. commenting little reprimands and digs to life long fila owners is childish and looks bad to those who are new here. I say this, as I have gotten private messages regarding some of the tones certain members take when responding to posts. yes, my first reaction would have been a dog bite to that situation, of course it bothers me. when Maddie bit my neighbor, I was outside with her! girldogue is outside with her dogs! and yes, my Filas are very special to me! I understand your points, but could have been addressed in a totally different matter. hope I didn't ramble too much.

Well Girldogue and I are certainly not friends so maybe you should have minded your own business instead of addressing me for pointing out the obvious. If you would spend less time worrying about me and more time properly containing your dogs no one would have gotten bitten would they? Since you have been in the breed so long you should know their tendencies and abilities. Then why would you tie a Fila in the front yard of a crowded subdivision where kids can run in your yard and get bit? I know, you were there, just like you were there when they bit someone. However even though I saw it coming I said nothing. Your dog bit someone and I still said nothing. I stand by what I said here and it obviously applies to you even more so since you put your dog in a situation to bite someone. If you post negligence and stupidity on a public forum you are going to hear about it. If you put Filas in a negative spotlight, I will call you on it every time. If it hurts your feelings, PM someone for support.

The other poster who saw the obvious in those pictures appears to be from Australia. Another example of a country were you cannot legally own Filas and several other guardian breeds anymore due to some owners stupidity and carelessness. The longer we can prolong that here in the states the better.

no feelings hurt here! actually only mentioned you AFTER you insinuated regarding my dog Maddie. I do not live in a crowded sub-division, nor are children running around. do you live near me? if you did you would know. the Fila in question is Flower, she has very little temperament and has NEVER bitten anyone, nor has never tried. she is not out there alone and never will be. if you must know, she was out there during her recovery to go to the bathroom. so you ASSumed incorrectly about the one who bit. Maddie would never be out front on the tie out, that would be begging for trouble. Maddie biting someone is a different story. having her in my fenced yard was not putting her in a situation to bite. she was supervised, my neighbor has been warned numerous times. if you could predict that he was going to force the point with me standing there and then bit him thru the fence, then you must be a mind reader and wasting your time on a forum! no negligence happened, when did you not become allowed to play with your dogs in your own backyard. if the bite had occurred in my front yard with her on a tie out, yes total negligence on my part. when I heard him talking, I called the dogs to me and was in a dead run to get them in the house. Maddie was quick! plain and simple! I truly care less how you assume I take care of my dogs. you say you will call someone on it, well this is the first I am hearing of it. so, I guess that is not always true. yeah, the other poster couldn't decide which way to comment. I read all comments.

For the record Fila4me I never mentioned you or your dogs in this thread before you posted. It was addressed to Suzy Q. Matter of fact you seemed like a nice lady before today. But remember the old saying clean up your own yard first. Good luck to you and your dogs.

P.S. Word to the wise, build a tall and strong fence.

pretty impressive leaping there! I have not seen fila's leap like that before.

I had a lab as a kid that would get over a fence that same height to chase bicycles (pissed my dad off royally after having spent alot of time and money to fence our large backyard...would get his front shoulder over the top and then claw up the rest with hind legs and fall over with a "clunk" on the other side. I can remember the terror of the bicyclists being chased one time when I was back there with him (although the dumb dog just did it for fun) and how angry my dad was!!

You know what after reading all this garbage, I mean advice I am very intrigued on seeing Ace's "Filas". I just asked myself if I have ever seen one...and I dont believe I have. Ace can you please post pics of your multiple filas clearing 6,7 and 8 foot, 1" thick custom made, screwed (not nailed) in fences in your hundred acre estate? please? pretty please? If you cant, wont or dont then please shut the f@ck up. I am starting to think you have never even owned a Fila in your life.

We had one of these on my street. That dog never hurt anyone that I remember. But everyone was affraid of him. And he must have gotten 1000 little shoe kicks to the face from chassing all them kids. Dog was fast enough to get right up on you till you booted him

Hey Scrub. I never said my dogs can get over a 6 foot fence but they could surely get over that 4 ft mess in the picture as could any athletic large breed if it wanted to. I don’t have 100 acres but do have acreage and literally spent literally almost 20k properly fencing my property so my dogs can have a safe place to roam freely without putting others at risk. Unlike you who doesn’t even have a backyard, yet breeds large dogs out of their home and ships them to anyone and their brother with money. But you can’t wait to get a yard so you can fill it with pitbull pens right? Are you still up at night dreaming about it? Why don’t you worry about all the shit bums you sell dogs to Scrub. I have been ignoring you and you should do the same.

Seems Fila owners are a breed unto themselves also. Fierce, loyal to their cause, and not a one of em backs down. Love it!
