  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

How many Neo or Neo mixes do we have here?

Spartacus

we rescued Spartacus when we thought he was 8-10 weeks but then second question ourselves comparing him to other pups his age. He is currently 16 weeks (per our observation and guess) weighing in at 42.2 lbs. We are not sure if he is full breed Cane Corso or mixed with a neo but he definitely has the characteristics of both.

Our Neo is one of the smartest dog I ever been around, he can also be one of the most stubborn animal alive. That includes teenage boys, as well as grown humans. DSC_0004.jpgDSC_0001.jpg

I have a six month old fawn/black female and a nine week old blue make. Both are full Neo, Duchess is the biggest goof ball ever. complete daddy's girl. Duke is still young, and sleeps a lot, but already a mommy's boy. my 7 and five year old kids love them, and Duchess loves these kids. The only bad thing about her is pretty common among Mastiffs, shethinks she's 8 lbs instead of 80, lol.

We just adopted 11 month old Maggie from Bloke here on this forum. :) We've had her a week now and her new grumpy DdB sister Nadia has finally decided that Maggie is all right and *might* even be fun to wrestle with in the yard.

My girl "Gypsy Moon" is an EM/Neo cross. She found me when she was 50 days old. Gypsy needed immediate veterinary care and surgery and I was a sucker. Ha,ha! We adore her...she is certainly a little firecracker!! Now she is 7 months and 89lbs.. She is my first mastiff and we have certainly learned alot together. Gypsy is very stubborn and sensitive. Is that not the weirdest combination of traits? For instance...if I am frustrated and raise my voice and give her the dreaded finger point...she will become very upset and riled up. I learned that putting her in a settle is 900 times more productive. We have had a constant (sometimes up hill) battle with bite inhibition and mouthing...but it seems that the repetition is now paying off. (She would aligator roll and act like a sereal killer or general nutthead if told "no" when she was very young!) I also have her enrolled in weekly obedience...which we will probably continue for a VERY long time. It was hard at first because she is absolutely not food or toy motivated. (except apples or carrots and peanutbutter..ha,ha.)

This is Sebastian...Neo and Dane cross..48 day ...still having trouble with potty training..

We have a 3/4 neo (according to the genetic test), her name is Brunhilde. She is almost 10 months and she's simply fantastic. I have had dogs all my life, though this is my first mastiff. We have three children 9, 7 and 3. She is so wonderful with all of them. My middle child is socially shy and Brunhilde has proven to give her great confidence and helps her to calm down when emotions are high. I'd say our neo is becoming somewhat of a therapy dog for our family.
She is also protective which is great since my husband is gone late into the night. I will add it's important to make sure she shown she should not protect us, since she will be unstoppable if there is real danger, you have to be careful to make sure she doesn't think she HAS to protect otherwise she will become aggressive with anyone who enters the home.
The biggest draw back is her sensitivity to food and stress. She is very attached to her pack. She will not go for a walk without most, if not all, of the pack with her. I have to drive in my car away from the pack to get her to finally take a walk with just me. Loyal to a fault, I suppose.
I suspect Brunhilde will not be our last Mastiff, they truly are a wonderful breed!View attachment 27502View attachment 27503

I have a Neo/ English Mix and he is so calm, submissive, and mellow. I love him to bits.
He is only 4 months old but I hope his good behavior transfer through adult hood.

Our family just got our first Neo about 2 weeks ago. He is an 11 week old blue male and he joins my 6 year old Boston Terrier and 10 year old Sphyx cat. He is a bit of a barker right now but I think that has to do maybe with just being a puppy...at least I hope so :)..We are in the process of potty training him and this is something I do not miss when my Boston was a puppy. Its just that much harder because Kaz, my neo, has to be carried to the door once he is let out of his kennel because if he is not then he will dribble all the way to the door :D but otherwise, he is catching on pretty well. I hope to get lots of advise here and perhaps even meet a few neo owners in the process or any Mastiff owner in fact ..

Just picked up a 8 week old purebred neo. He is just amazing, hasnt had a accident in the house yet. "Let's me know". Everything about the neo's temperament and demeaner attracted me a lot.

Have an 18 week old Neo. She's a gas...such a sweet, stubborn, loving temperament. Couldn't imagine life without her now. So very smart. Rings bells at the back door when she needs to go out.

Kaz does the bell ringing too however, he ate them yesterday or at least I think he did...can't find them anywhere!

My ARCHIE was adopted from a rescue 2.5 years ago. This is my third Neo. They are the most friendly dogs ever. They want to be with you all day and night. Very family friendly. My kids would rest their heads against the dogs body and use them as head rests while watching TV and they would not move. Wish I knew how to post the pics. ARCHIE is no different. He loves the family and loves sniffing everything new. Loves to play with other dogs. He will definitely alert to strangers until I let him know it it is ok. Once he is convinced it is ok he will be his normal self. Some convincing times take longer than others. Best breed ever. Protection and cuddly.
