ok so I had my surgery last Tuesday...was released on Thursday, my husband thinks it's too soon. He is so sweet....He was happy to have me back at home, but believes I was released to soon.
My Sunny Bunny of course didn't eat while I was gone. I knew that would happen. My dad had my Baby Bella and she only ate 1/2 the time with dad. That surprised me as my dad is great for slipping what every he's eating to Bella as well.
So now Bella came home Sunday, I so missed her. She is being so gentle with me.
Now the only problem is ....I now have a 6lb powder puff dog and an 130lb beasty dog attached to me.... so when I go to the powder room and this only has enough room for 1 person at a time....I have Sunny wanting on my lap as soon as I sit and Bella squeezing herself in the room too.... She doesn't even have enough room to turn around so she has to back out of the powder room.... So of course when I want her to back out I make the beep beep sound....and she backs out. LOL
I'm hoping this will end soon o_O

I'm sorry, but that's too funny. We also have a very small bathroom and all of the dogs believe that we desperately need their help and encouragement to complete any bathroom tasks. I'm glad to hear you're doing well. Who wants to stay in the hospital? You get absolutely no rest there. Home is better as long as you're not over doing things.

Thanks Boxergirl and April. And yes it is too funny..... The first mission I had with both of the girl had me laughing to the point that I wished I had brought my tummy pillow with me.

Last night was the first night I didn't wake up because of the pain.....I had cut my pain medication in half 3 nights ago....The first to nights I woke up in a lots of pain....So last night I got smarter and took a full dose of pain meds just before bedtime. So last night when I woke up at 3am it was just because I was hungry....
Because of my surgery I can only eat little bits so every 3 to 4 hours I'm starving again....
That's my excuse this time, but really I've never given up my 3am feedings :p

So today I've gone without pain meds until just after noon....
so that's 13 hours! Yay for me!

Now once I can get till supper time without pain medication then I can return to my office. :D

I am so happy to hear you are doing well and that is great news on cutting the pain meds!

The bathroom thing is hilarious. Kahlua doesn't like following me to the bathroom. She is afraid of the bathroom for some reason.

Diesel follows me to the bathroom if I need to poop or shower. And he can tell. If it is just pee or brushing my teeth or getting ready he is fine with letting me do it on my own. But, if I need to poo or shower then he has to be in there with me. This started when my husband was gone that first time which was for nearly a month. And it has continued ever since. I don't mind it so much. He is really good. He lays down on the bath mat and waits patiently. And he doesn't move until I am up and washing my hands. Then he gets up and waits patiently at the door.

It's great that you are getting along with less pain meds. I had 4 cesareans, so I can definitely relate to your pain. Getting up and moving without overdoing it was the best thing for the pain. And I relied on ibuprofen a lot. For some reason prescription pain meds make me puke...

The dogs are going to be super clingy, they know you are " injured" I think it's sweet. :) but they become tripping hazards in their quest to nurture.

So much help under foot, trying to trip you with their concern....wonderful beasts, aren't they? And, yes, bear the pain, avoid the drugs. I've seen what it did to my daughter who will never be free from them (all doctor supplied), and she will never be whole again.

Sorry about your daughters pain. I’ll also be on pain medication for the rest of my life due to a car accident back in 2004. The only difference right now is I’m having to take them during the day. Before surgery I could get away with the whole day before I would absolutely need pain relief. Once I get back to my normal pain levels I’ll just be using ice and heat during the day and the hard drugs after supper

My caretakers Sunny and Bella will be under foot for a while I do know this.....last time I left them for 7 days it took about a month. So here’s hoping this time will be shorter but something tells me it will probably be longer.
