Hello! I just wanted to introduce myself and my English Mastiff, Remi. I bought Remi at 12 weeks and she turned 2 the 30th of March! She's incredible! The best dog I've ever owned and everyone that has ever met her would agree. She's 120 lbs of healthy, wrinkly love! It feels so good to have a place where I can go and ask questions and know I'm getting the right answers. I am dying to get more involved in local clubs, but I can't seem to find any in my area. I really want to dedicate my life to these dogs and plan to, I want more English Mastiff's and I would like to get into showing them. I have so many wants and questions, I have notes and more notes, I've read books and countless forums/pages. I've bred Remi, it isn't confirmed but she has an ultrasound appointment on Friday. I feel that I've done everything right; waited until the appropriate age, chose the perfect stud, scheduled vet visits! The only thing I did not do is certify her with the OFA, BECAUSE prior to two years of age (which Remi missed by a couple of weeks) it would have been "preliminary" not even receiving an actual OFA number. My vet and I felt that it would make more sense to wait until she was over age 2 to have her certified, and because her heat put her possibly already pregnant after she turned 2 to have the testing done; we felt waiting after the pregnancy would be less stressful/necessary. I would love to accept constructive criticism! I'll attach pictures of my Remi! [emoji5]
