Good to hear that Hank should be feeling better now. Jiggers decided that Kryten needed cuddling after he came home from surgery to. I think it helped both of them relax.

So I'm reading the discharge instructions. They say he had "a castration, scrotal ablation, and urethrostomy"...." Please keep the e-collar on Hank at all times"... (wtf?) ... " Moderate bleeding for the next fews days"...

Ya, I get so worried, there is a LOT of blood, all over the place. I'm trying to keep him clean as possible but it's rough without running water... He drank a little, ate a little, bled a lot. Not constant but if he's been laying down for a while then get's up it comes out. After he pee's it drips for a couple mins. I wish there wasn't snow outside. There are little blood trails back and forth leading from one blood pee puddle to the next. The worst is the stringy blood clots. I hope he's not as stressed and freaked out as I am. It doesn't seem like it. He seems like the thing that bothers him most is the stupid cone and not being allowed to lay down where he wants, only on predetermined blanket locations.

Work was tough today. I hated being away from my boy when I know he's hurting. My wife was with him most the day skipping needed sleep. I'm home now and she will be getting up and leaving for work soon. Mind is frazzled, slept like shite, worried sick. The paracord bracelets I'm making for christmas presents are keeping me sane.

EEM, I hope you all had a better night tonight. Been thinking about you. I saw you were talking about making paracord leashes, etc. I've made my own leather leashes and customized them the way I want them. On one I copied a halti training lead that could be used as a waist leash, cross-body leash, etc. The other has an extra hand loop at the end close to the dog because that's where my left hand rests. It's my favorite leash ever. It wasn't difficult and might bring you a little more $$. I don't remember where I got my straps though, I'd have to do some searching. I can send you pictures if you like. It could make a nice little side business for you.

I was telling my wife that maybe I should buy a side of good leather and make some leather stuff. Making the stuff isn't the issue for me though. Selling it would be the hard part. I've proven to myself that I have shit for skills as far as websites/stores go. I'm giving up on my website if anyone hasn't noticed. I make no money with it. It's not a skillset i have. I have ideas for things I want to do but if I can't bust my ass and get out of the hell I'm in there's goiing to be no moving forward. I don't have money to pay anyone to do anything like website or SEO or well, anything. So basically at this point, if I can't do (whatever it is) all by myself then it's not an option. That leaves me with manual labor.

I was born a peon and no matter my efforts I'm stuck a peon lol. Sometimes I feel like I may be on the cusp of changing stations, then something happens and bam, peon or less.

Why do I even type this shit out.. Maybe I should write a journal and bitch in that so that when I get on the forum I might be able to say something not depressing...

Hanks getting his appetite back. Drinking water like normal. Isn't bleeding AS much but still a bit, we go back in for a checkup tomorrow at 10 and I'll get an official opinion. By we I mean my wife cause I'll be at work. I hate not being able to be there but, I hate even more not having running water. I'm trying so hard to put out good energy but it's just not happening. I'm sorry. I'm getting off until I can get my attitude straight. Maybe tomorrow will be better than today.

EEM - it's all about perspective. Stop lumping what's going on in your personal life with your professional life. You just got a job that offers you a lot of flexibility when it comes to Hank. Many of us started at the bottom with our companies and have made upward progress over years.

My advice to you is to come to the boards to get all the bitching and complaining out of your system, then go to work and kick ass. Let them know that you want more responsibility and more hours. That you are eager and willing to learn and then be a sponge. Once you understand their processes look for ways to potentially improve the process. They may or may not exist, but if you can streamline and save them money that will really help you out. Learn as much as you can to bolster your resume for that next role. Good things are waiting around the corner for you and this job and what you are going through right now is setting you up to be successful. It's helping you become resilient, be a problem solver, look to others for support and guidance, all the things bosses are looking for. I'll count your blessings for you if you won't and I thank God every morning when I see your post that you and your wife were one of the lucky ones that simply woke up this morning.

It's good to hear that Hank is getting better. What's the latest word from the vet? I'm sorry to hear about everything that's going on right now. I know sometimes it seems like a bunch of shit just hits you all at once, but it won't be like this forever. Things will be better soon.
