Hector's intermediate video

We submitted our application for the intermediate today. The videos were approved. I put all the videos in one. Thank goodness the advanced and expert levels only require 5 tricks.

The best part is the 5 second hold--he was wagging his tail the whole time! I don't think there's anything Hector can't do. Great job, both of you!

Thank you! The food hold is pretty easy for Hector. It's funny when you say the 5 second hold is the best part because the team was super amazed by the catch and hold and considers that as an expert trick, so if we wanted, we can use this as 1 of our expert tricks, but I'm thinking nah that'd be too easy.

Great job, I loved the sock one, very creative and useful way to tug!
Thank you, it's one of the tricks for the magic pooch award (group on facebook), so...I have to come up with ways to hit two birds with one stone.

OMG love the sock thing so much. The hanging slobber only made it slightly less adorable, lol. Awesome job on everything!

Awesome!!!! How often do you work with him, and what treats are you using? They almost look like pepperoni? I've been working with Skye (our 16 wk old) almost daily, with a day off here or there.

For this video I trained 6 days straight because I didn't have work. We train about 5-10 mins a session and sometimes we did up to 4-5 sessions. We learned some new things like ladder (used kibble), tug socks (used slices of pepperoni - not recommended), cookie on a string (learned that in 15 mins and he got the crunchy beef stick on the end). The rest of the tricks he already knew. I used boiled chicken, left over meat, but mostly it was liver treats and kibble.

Intermediate ribbon, yay! I swear I was not mean to him in the first pic. He kept wanting to play dead when I told him to down, but I didn't let him (okay maybe that is mean). It's an impulse control face lol.
