I get my DE from here. They ship fast and have good prices. http://diatomaceousearth.net/
DE has been used to kill mange, mites, ticks, fleas, and used in deworming. Farmers use it in the stalls and food containers of horses and cows. I personally used it to kill off a flea infestation in my house last year. Now I take it a few times a week and mix it in my homemade dog food. You can mix it with water too and use a sprayer to apply it, shake often as it does not desolve and will settle to the bottom.

I just use a flour shaker to scatter it in my garden and treat the dogs' run and related areas. Cuts back on the bugs in general for those areas, but has to be reapplied after rain (which can get annoying).

I bought some DE but haven't used it yet - I would definitely recommend trying it based on all I've read about it.
Having to reapply after rain could be a problem for me... I live just outside Seattle...

And I agree with some of the other posters - your baby isn't aggressive, the vet was probably afraid of her and made her scared, too. I'd find a new vet and/or make sure you are ALWAYS in the room when they're performing their examinations.

On the VET's records jacket for Duncan it says "Sedate or let owner handle". This is not an exaggeration for Duncan as he his scary strong for his size and HATES anything in uniform. No one can walk him but me but I have friends that come over that he will lay next to and stand in front of for attention. So he isn't human aggressive he just hates VETS. Your dog could be the same.

I had a 12 week old puppy ship to me with mange (long story) and the local vet recommend Vectra 3D in the 95lb+ weight. He said to do it every month. By god, it worked. Within the first week there was a huge difference, in a month you couldn't tell he had mange...he had hair again! I used it for the next two months like he recommended but honestly I think he was fine after the first month
