Gelatin

Natural gelatine is supposed to be a good joint supplement. I'm not sure if the ones labeled as animal free would work the same way.
I don't currently give Kryten any but it is something I've been looking into as his elbow is much worse in summer than in winter. His problem (other than ED) is that his joints loosen in warmer temperatures which increases the instability. That in turns makes his leg more prone to pain from over use.

You can make a bone broth , it turns to jelly when refridgerated. I used to make it for Norman all the time.

Curious, why would you give it?
Gelatin is basically collagen, which is good for joint health. I prefer to give collagen supplements directly as opposed to gelatin, as it is easier to digest. I use Hyaloral, which contains collagen, chondroitin, glucosamine, hialuronic acid and gamma orizanol.

That's actually the gelatin that I take for my arthritis and thought it might help Bella. Sometimes after she's been asleep she will have trouble getting her butt up.

Thank ya'll. It just goes to show that you are never too old to learn something new. In the tons of research I've done on joint supplements I don't recall coming across gelatin. Then again I may have read a ton on it and forgotten.
