Filas same sex dog aggression

you are taking a chance basically - how do the other 2 males get along , how are they with other dogs & puppies ? A female would likely be the best choice - but - you could end up with problems between the 2 males if she is intact.

I don't. As of right now I only have Stone, who is an a$$ but means no harm just playing. Hypothetically speaking if I had two danes ( males) and a fila ( male) would that cause problems. If I get a female a will spay that witch, no red flowers but me in this household. LOL.

Pffftt, I could just picture that in my mind  Those poor boys. And good lord all those dogs, 4 would possibly be my limit, though I would love more.
it was quite comical, haha.my adopted grandma used to breed Dogos and Filas and I would bring them to my house to socialize, potty train and get them ready to show as pups.and ofcourse would fall in love and they would just stay.I lived out in the country and the neighbors close by would freak out when I would walk all of the big white "Pit Bulls" together! and I agree,as long as my crew gets along I could care less about those not part of the crew. I will add this, when my female Dogo would go in heat I would send one of the males to stay at the "granny's".just to avoid anything while I was at work.

I have not noticed nor have I even heard of color being a factor in character or temp when it comes to dogs. I know alot of old tyme pit bull guys say that the brindles have "more fire" and some old farmers told me that brindle filas have harder temp.... those same farmers have said that rats turn into bats when they mature so your gonna have to take all that nonsense with a grain of salt. as history shows there have been way more fawn grch APBTs than any other color and most temp champions are fawn in CAFIB as well... that being said my brindle bitch (she is a light brindle) is by far the most dominant dog I have ever seen or heard of. She is completly fine with any dog she has ever met as long as that dog does not show the slightest amount of dominance... like fila 4 me stated other dogs tip toe past her practically sliding on the floor, head facing other way with eyes shut just to appease her.. she has made other dogs in the street literally pee themselves by growling at them... A friend brung over his fila pup (about 7 mths old) and we put him out in the yard with her... they played like pups the whole time, with adults it is same thing male or female. The females tend to be more dominant in this breed however this is not agression and the other dogs usually follow them immediatly. I would recommend a female in your situation rather than a male as males will be quicker to snap at another male than a female. females are smaller and therefore more manageable than an adult male which would be unmovable... they mature faster and lear alot quicker than males do (while pups). I do not recommend males to first timers but everyone has there preference.

Dogman thank you for you insight and contribution. Very interesting intake about color in regards to dominance. For danes Harelquin ( white with black blotches) are considered "crazy" or "ill temp" seems as if every breed has their "crazy colors."

That's understandable, I'm not looking to purchase anytime soon, like YEARS down the road. Just wanted to get some insight from the breed owners themselves. While I usually prefer males I will of course weigh the options and consider the environment accordingly.

That's a good idea to have a contingency planhttps://www.google.com/search?hl=en...a=X&ei=5D9SUce7JMrkyAHG8oCgAQ&ved=0CDEQvwUoAA, I would need to find someone I could trust and had some basic clue about dogs...

My little bitch stole the freakin top off my bun from my hamburger i just made for my din din lastnight, left the room to get my laptop in the living room came back into the kitchen and she was madly trying to swallow something, as i look closer notice my burger is showing lol no fried onions and no top bun hmmmm bitch!! but the joke was on her cause i just finished putting hotwing sauce on top of the fried onions and i was quite generous with it hahahahaha she seemed to lick her chops for quite some time afterwards lol, hmm she has not been to interested in counter surfing, i wonder why lol, i also told her she was going to have a burning ring of fire tomorrow, i hope she did lol. She also has stole loaves of bread, i make mine by hand, its a pain when you just made 2 loaves and now have to make more the same day without even eating any of the first 2 grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
