Fila Brasileiro

In many filas that is just how it is carried, since it falls straight down it is usually in further than the legs depending on how the dog is standing. If you are meaning curled up to their stomach then that fila would seem to be feeling a lil insecure in the situation it was in.

It is a little funny a dog known to be strong and without fear, tucks their tail constantly. Which in most dogs would a sing of fear

What a great find this thread is! I have read the entire thing and of course will be going back and reading anything else that I can find on the Fila but Thanks to all that participated. What a learning experience for me! I hope they never figure out (Here at work) that they have paid me very well to read about Fila's all morning. LMAO

You got away with walking into a rottweiler's garden?
I am sure your confidence helps - but I would have been pretty unhappy if my rottweiler has allowed that sort of thing.
He died 15 years ago now - but he was a superb guard - tested several times in varying situations.
That said, one of my neghbours had a massive rottweiler - and still got burgled :)
Dogs eh?
:)

Thats the whole point of the Fila. Not to say the reality and the theory always mesh... But in theory a Fila should never allow anyone on the property. Most File owners have them for one reason by and large. Thats the comfort of knowing these dogs will handle any intruder with zero interaction from the owner and zero thought from the dog. There is no acting sweet to the dog, acting not afraid aint gonna help, not moving aint working, when they turn on, even that steak in your hand wont draw the dogs attention.
