Now that's an interesting idea. Using something like facetime so you can see and communicate with the dog and also using a remote trainer like the Manner's Minder to remotely treat appropriate behavior. The only problem is that I think the Manner's Minder only works up to 100 feet away.

This one's only $100 and you could set it outside the crate with the tray part inside. $100 on this compared to hundreds on an escape proof kennel seems like a good gamble. Since I work at home, and am mostly gone for relatively short periods of time, we could start out with short tries.

No. It's remote controlled. If you are going to get something like this, go with treat and train. It has 100 ft range. Don't know how well it works through walls and such. I see the price is only $88. It used to be $100 for the longest time. The only one that can be controlled with the phone that I know of is the pet tutor.
