Emma's Growth Thread

Emma is a cutie!!!

That's funny you say that, my Boyfriend insisted we needed a puppy as opposed to rescuing an adult dog this time around... now he said the other day "hmmm, I guess I'm not really a puppy person". Sheesh, good thing I'm the dog person in our family!:D

Curious, what is a healthy growth rate for a female BM? Mine weighed 14 lbs at her 8 week vet check and today at 10 weeks she weighed 19 lbs. Now, that said, the scale was reading .9 lbs before I even put her on it, and .6 lbs after I took her off... but even if we went with 18.5 lbs, that seems like alot. Just want to make sure we are growing her slowly.

Emma just figured out how to get on the couch. So far she has always needed an assist. She would leap too soon, or put her front paws up and the back feet would just be paddling to get up. Tonight was the first "I got this" perfect leap. My little girl is already growing up!

Emma is beautiful!

We have a 9 year old BM, and now a 9 week old boy today named Murray. He weighed in this morning at 19lbs.

Excited to follow Emma's growth!

This is how my hubs makes me feel guilty when I travel. The caption was "why mom? Why did you leave me"

I used to travel for work quite often prior to Ruger and went to Rhode Island once when he was just a baby but not another time after that. I just couldn't stand to leave him. He has owned me from the moment he rolled down that hill, landed at my feet and barked and growled at me at less than 6 weeks old. Lol

Yes! And as an added bonus it has finally dried out! Emma hasn't met a dog she doesn't love yet so the sooner the better! I'll go find the old email we were kicking around during monsoon season.

The back story is Emma loves to attack dad from behind when he is sitting non the floor. She launched with a little too much force and was going to face plant so dad caught her. Then she saw the toy and just stayed there. LOL

Emma was six months this past Sunday, yesterday at the vet she weighed in at 50.2 lbs. Still a lean, mean, playing machine. :) Pic to follow.
