How are you all doing? I am new to the forum and stumbled upon this site while looking for breeders in the Southeast.
I have been wanting a french mastiff for a few years now and have done my research. My 12.5 year old boxer recently passed away and I am thinking now is the time for a new dog. I am not looking for a show quality dog, rather just a pet. That being said I am trying to find a quality breeder in or around Georgia. I am willing to travel, but I do not want to have a dog shipped as I feel I need to meet the breeder, adults, and puppies before I purchase. Can anyone suggest a breeder in the area? I realize there are very few quality Dogue breeders out there and would ideally like to find a good one that isn't to far away so I can make a trip or two to the property.
I have found Van Valkenburg Dogues in Summerville, GA and have recently contacted them. They seem like a quality breeder, does anyone know anything about them or their dogs? Ideally, I would like to visit a few breeders before I make a decision so anything you all could suggest would be appreciated!
