Those really are breathtaking. Question: Is the Dogo trained to kill or to hold the prey until the hunter arrives?

Dogos normally are to hold until you come. they do have a very strong prey drive and will kill if you do not get to them in a timely manner. mine have always killed anything that steps in my yard. all I have had have been notorious cat killers.

All awesome except the hog in the pen pic. I like the hunting pictures but think setting a dog on a penned hog is just like blood sporting. Yes I understand the need for training but it just UN-nerves me to see that part of all of it. I love the breed and think the dogs are awesome.

Love the pictures! It is amazing to see these dogs working. They are stunning to look at and their drive looks second to none.

So I met a dogo. someone was walking him and I said is that a dogo and he was very surprised I new the breed. He got it from a shelter. I looked into that but went with presa's instead. I am very interested in the Dogo Argentino though. I herd that vets won't see them due to... aggression/intimidating size? I see pics wit kids and dogos a lot, what is there teperment? do they have the mastiff stubbornness? and so on... what do you have to say about these amazing dogs?
