Does anyone know what DDB looked like before..

What is it that you are too young to know what it means?

I believe both the DDB and BM are laid backed dogs. In regards to which one is more laid back, I'd have to say the DDB, but it does depend on the dog and the owner's lifestyle. If the owner is very active and walks/runs a lot, the dog will probably be more active. However, it's in the mastiff's genes to be somewhat of a "couch potato."

You are young. :) Good for you doing your research on mastiffs!

Thank you! I figured I might as well now that I can, because I had my last mastiff when I was younger and lost her when she was 8 back in 2009 because her legs gave up on her,and I want to know what to expect this time round, although it's a DDB this time and not a BM.

Very smart! I wish more people would do the same. Too many mastiffs dropped off at shelters or listed on craigslist due to human ignorance. When they are listed on craigslist, they are running the risk of being used as bait in dog fighting rings or worse.

There is a few breeders breeding black masks but to me they some of them are starting to look more like bull mastiffs,,Just my opinion though.

I don't like the black masks on this breed, it makes them look less pure, if you know what I man?

The maskless is a mutation. The black and brown mask are more pure if you want to look at it genetically.

When talking about multiple DDBs, is it Dogues De Bordeaux, or Dogue De Bordeauxs?

The former. The Dogs of Bordeaux.

I don't know much about mastiffs, but damn it I know plurals!
