Does Anyone Have Carpal Tunnel?

I am going for a nerve conduction study soon. I'm wanting to rule out carpal tunnel syndrome due to the fact that my whole arm is involved. Does anyone out there have experience with this? Thanks!

Yes, I have it slightly and my mom had it so severley that she had to get surgery on both of her wrists. When it hits, it does affect the whole arm. Mine starts in the wrist and then the pain moves down into my hands and up to my elbow. Sometimes I can even feel it in my upper arm. My mom was the same and she had a hard time lifting anything, which was hard for her since she owned and operated her own restaurant at the time. After her surgery, which was an out patient surgery, it took a few weeks to recover and she has never had a problem with her wrists since.

Hey BigMac. ask your Dr. for an ANA (ananuclic acid test) and check if you have an auto immune disease. I'm 35 and was recently diagnosed with mixed connective tissue disease and rider's syndrome. I too thought I had carpal tunnel due to my arm and hand going numb. Let me know how it goes.
