DDB 5mth 1 week, food intake

Hi
I have a DDB who is very hit and miss with thier food intake just a bit concerned if he is getting enough.

Rough daily food intake:
Breakfast:
2 Cups Royal Canin Giant puppy, 7 chicken necks (roughly 300 grams) and he will half to quarter of this
Dinner:
Left over breakfast, roughly 300 gram chicken mince and maybe more dry food depending how much left over from breakfast. Again might leave 1/4 or 1/2 who knows or he might eat it all very rare though, will generally eats a full meal once every 2=3 days.

Is this enough food for a 5 month and 1 week old?

Just a bit concerned as all he wants to do is sleep and seems lethargic, very hard to get him excited or want to work at obedience.

Vet seems ok as he is gaining weight, his weight a week ago (24th) was 34kg.
Your thoughts would be grealy appreciated.
Regards pistol

I wouldn't worry about him not eating - he may be self-regulating, which is a good thing. As long as he's gaining, gaining slowly is good.
The amount you're giving for breakfast... 2 cups of dry plus 300g (10oz) of chicken, seems like plenty for a full day's worth of food, too.

I might be more concerned that you're mixing raw chicken with kibble... the carbs in the kibble will digest much slower than the raw food, and could cause the raw food to sit in the stomach and ferment. You could try splitting the meals - chicken necks for breakfast, and kibble for dinner.

I'm assuming he's eliminating just fine, and his stool samples have been recently checked as 'clean'... but maybe the mix is causing a little bit of nausea? This is just a theory... he could be just fine with the mix, some dogs are.
