We wish all those who grace this thread ( Zeela) a safe and healthy 2021. From Tim,Teresa & Bella..
1-1-21 we have 3 grand daughters over, oldest at 13 then 2 and 4.. The little ones have blankets on the LR floor and Bella is blocked from the LR.. She wants SO bad to get at them little ones.. BUT she is just too rambunckous.. She has gotten her licks in and tasted all of them but I've had to limit it to that since the girls playing just winds her up.. Standing at the childs gate and the nub of a tail is in warp speed waggin.. I should have some more pics before the weekends over..

Boxergirl, Happy, she sure should be.. She eats like a queen, has a really big yard that she much enjoys trashing, lol.. She has a pig, cows and chickens to keep her amused in the outdoors.. She got a BIG cow bone for Christmas .. Since the fall or so she has been coming in the house and has a bed with a 2" foam dog matress.. She and the wife spend many hours together as the wife is a stay at home momma.. After work and weekends she has me for ruff housing and training.. She is coming along great, sit, down, wait, focus and go are all well known and mostly followed directions.. The wife is impressed when I put her bowl down and tell her to wait, tonights bowl contained kibble, and from the table steak, noodles and lima beans.. She waited focused on me and the bowl until I said go.. Her mouthy tendencies have just about come to an end except when she's really excited or being ruff housed.. We love her and are quite happy with her.. I need to get a new weight and see if we've hit the 70 lb mark yet..

1-15-21 she's 7 1/2 months and 72 lbs of lean high energy.. All she wants to do is play or train and our yard looks as though we're slobs.. She has ropes, sticks, bottles , bones, a frisbee, clothing items and no telling what else that she totes around.. She is getting closer to catching a frisbee but isn't there yet.. Her fetch and return is good and her release is good most of the time.. Wilbur the pig is on the trailer and she may just miss him..
We'll see Wilbur again in about 3 weeks only in vacuum sealed packs of bacon, ham and chops etc .. He's roughly 300+ lbs so we'll be in hopes of putting about 180 lbs of pork in the freezer..

So before she's willing to settle for the evening she's got to try and see if we have anymore play in us.. She will use her face and toss your feet around and before she quits she put her mouth in action, But only mouthing not biting.. She is SUCH a character, I'm sure as time passes on we're going to have 1 awesome farm dog..

Great pics and updates of Bella. She is getting so big and strong. Looks like she keeps plenty busy on the farm. Poor Wilbur doesn’t know what’s in store for him but I cooked up bacon just this morning and I have pork ribs planned for tomorrow. Hopefully Bella has more friends on the farm. LOL. Keep posting pics! Great reading about her and the farm life.

Thank you Dstack, she is pure energy and quite the jumper.. I can not see her as an apartment or lil yard kind of dog.. LOL, she has is it good that is for sure no chains or ties free as a bird.. She likes to chase lil birds too.. She much enjoyed having Wilbur around and he would romp and play with her.. Pigs will make like a bark sound and the 2 of them would have a good time.. Probably due to pigs enjoying company and her being available.. We'll get her another pig this fall but she'll have to make due with the cows and chickens for now..
While we had Wilbur he was given a good life and treated well.. Do you know what to use to give a 300+ lb pig a good scratching ??

Our backyard broilers are doing wonderful.. We purchased these as breeders so that we'll be able to hatch out our own broiler food stock.. At 4 months and 1 week 1 rooster tipped the scales at 10lbs 3 oz.. I keep the thread posted as to the farm doings..

So Bella besides being a trashy girl is also a complete and total HAM.. She has a blanket in the living room and she will wrap herself up in it.. 1 in the yard with 3 pcs of her play stuff a retired pair of my shorts, a was a ball and a 5 ft pc of lariat rope.. She does this to herself, no human help..

We picked up Wilbur from the processor and had ham steaks last night..:) OOOO they are soooo good, processor did a good job on the hams.. Off 1 leg we got 2 hams, 9 and 11 lbs.. The other leg gave us a nice bunch of ham steaks.. 1st bite said salt and bites after was smokey goodness, I yummied all thru dinner.. I suspect it'll all be good, you can bet your sweet bippy the sausage looks better than the tube stuff from the store , Wilbur put our freezer in good shape, Thank you Wilbur... Bella's doing good, the above pictures with the G daughter and caulking tube, when I'm the puppy operator there's 3 commands in the drill.. "Sit" then "Focus" on me and last go.. I might be 3 feet or 10 feet from her, all depends on how high I want her to jump and snatch.. I do this and release when she grabs the tube or stick.. I also keep my eye on the snatch as she caught my hand 1 dim evening.. It was the 1st time she's made me bleed in a while, so no foul, it's all good..

I don't know how many of ya are in tune with the world but here in the good ole USA things aren't a bed of roses.. That being I have gone BONKERS buying fig and berry scions / cuttings.. We've got Elderberry, goji berry aronia berry, black berry , raspberry, blue berry ,strawberry and 14 types of figs.. The goal is a food forest rich in fruits and berries.. The man that now owns most of Americas farm land just doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy.. Even Bella was purchased to fit into the future and I'm glad to see she is as rough and tumble as she is.. So over 100 cuttings on the heat mat and the incubator is plugged in cuz the meat birds started laying.. We're getting 4 eggs a day from them so it won't be long before we start hatching our own chicken dinners..

Big frigid front here in OK, everything in the greenhouse is wilted.. Some of it may survive but single digit temps are supposed to last a week or so.. It's funny Bella doesn't seem to mind the cold 1 bit.. Running around with a frozen sweatshirt lol she's tooo funny.. Munching on ice that bounces out of the cows water trough.. Eggs from the chickens freeze solid in a hurry and I've had pitched a few because they break when froze..
Bella's also a heater hog, we come in from the cold and she'll park herself in front of the heater sometimes quite close..

She shredded all my shorts lol, they were retired.. Hatched 49 chicks from the broiler flock forgot to take chick pics.. Have 2 new calves about 40 lbs each Bella is ringing in @ 85lbs double 2 calves.. She was 4 lbs not long ago.. She is doing great and still trashing the yard.. Man she makes a lot of pick up every bit a kid as one ever met.. Doing good with the occasional visitor we have here.. Preparing for the season so doing a planting of veggies, and will now be growing this years batch of chicken dinners.. Neighbor made for a bit of excitement..
