Hi, can anyone help?
Hi everyone, I have scoured the internet for advice and finally decided to make an account here to see if someone can help. I have an amazing 8 month old Cane Corso puppy who had his ears cropped at about 10 weeks. For the most part, I have taped his ears as needed and the right ear is doing a pretty good job of standing. Over the last 6 weeks or so, the left ear has started to flop against the side of his head. It has always been the problem ear but previously it would flop on his head or stand. Currently, after removing the tape, the ear will stand for a few hours. But after he goes to sleep the ear will fall again. If I massage it a bit it will then stand again. Sometimes it goes for 6-7 hours as well. But generally speaking if he goes to sleep (he sleeps with that ear against the ground usually) it will be lazy and fallen. Has anyone had experience of dogs taking this long to get their ears erect or is it simply too late. Or any tips for me to try. I have hope because it still does stand sometimes but not that confident because he's 8 months and it's still having issues. I have attached some pics for reference. Please note that the pic with both ears falling is mostly what the left ear will look like while the right one stays standing. When standing, I have pics of that attached as well.
Look forward to hearing from you kind folk!
