Cane Corso Breeder in OK - What do you think of this one...

Looking for opinions on this Cane Corso breeder I found. He doesn't maintain a real nice website as others do. And he doesn't have all the pics of the dogs at dog shows winning all kinds of awards. However, he seemed knowledgeable and to take breeding somewhat serious.

Here are links to his website and facebook page (I think he maintains facebook more than the website):

He has two litters he is expecting mid-January and towards the end of January; (1) Giudice x Serafina and (2) Sergio x Bella. Attached is an example of a ICCF registration paperwork that he says is from Giudice and Serafina last breeding.

All his puppies come included with ear cropping. I asked him if he has any health screening documentation or temperament certificate. Waiting for response.

Please let me know what you think about this breeder and whether or not I should keep on my list for potential breeders to watch out for upcoming litters. The mid to late January timing of his next litters is not exactly right for me, as I really wanted to use the time off around the holidays to get my new puppy situated. However, he is still on my watch list of breeders unless the kind folks of the Mastiff forum come along and tell me he has way too many Breeder red flags...

From what I see, there's very little actual information on either the facebook page or the website, so I can't base an opinion on that. I don't know enough about the Corso standard to comment based on what information and pictures are available. Hopefully those who do know will take a look and give their opinion.

based on the previous discussions you and I have had about breeders this guy seems to be in maybe the "backyard" or craigslist category. Not someone who is really dedicating his life to the betterment of the breed type thing. I think it will be hard for me to trust this...

There is no health testing and the back ground behind most of his dogs (Cherubs) to the best of my knowledge doesn't health test. It appears like he doesn't do anything with his dogs outside of breed them as I don't see any titles or such on the website. He mentions the CH in their pedigree but that is the case for every corso out there, they all have that "red ink" in their pedigree but all show dogs produce pets it doesn't mean that all should be bred.

yeah you are a little late to the discussion :). I already had crossed this guy off my list of potential breeders... Thanks!
