Hi everyone,
Maybe this is posted in the wrong area but the show thread seemed to be all announcements so I am posting it here.
I have a fluffy apricot mastiff. He has curly ears and a curly back. He's only 8 months old but seems to have really good confirmation other than his coat. Of course, I don't know exactly how big he will get yet, but he's currently 120 lbs. I was wondering if he could go to a show or would we be laughed or sneered out of the ring?
I have no expectations of winning but Sherman, I think would really enjoy it. He's such a show dog already. Nothing makes him happier than to be the center of attention. Rather than getting wild when people swarm him, he sits and grins or stands and poses. It's pretty funny and he's had no training. I've done a lot of different sports with dogs - agility, rally, therapy but I thought it might be fun to take him to one show before he gets snipped.
Any advice you could give me woudl be appreciated.
