We have a pup from Cathey's that is 9 months old now. We also have a Corso that is 4 from another breeder. This breeder was not providing her "guaranteed" breeder support. My husband and I were looking for other breeders or anyone else with knowledge of this breed and we found Cathey's. She helped us any way she could, answering questions, providing her experience with the breed. We met her and our 9 month olds daddy at a dog show and we knew from then we wanted another...but not any other, we wanted a dog from Cathey's. We don't just have the guaranteed breeder support, we have a friend, and we are now part of a bigger family, Cathey's Cane Corso family. We have our own group page and everyone posts pictures and funny things about their dogs they have from Cathey's. This is what a breeder should be like. I wouldn't get another Corso unless it was from Cathey's.

Is great People are joining here to support their breeder. As the saying goes there are always 3 sides to every story :D That said please let us know a little about yourselves by posting in introduction section of the forum. It always looks better, rather then joining and jumping in on a thread such as this. Pictures are always welcome :) thanks.

yeah Cathey, youll notice the OP came on, made an inflammatory stmt, then disappeared. i for one didnt put much stock ino his claim since he backed it up with nothing. most posters like that dont last long around here we r mostly smart enough t see thru the BS. the good thing about it is it looks lik we have some new members. im just sorry your intro to this group was negative.

I was going to say the same thing. It's hard to take this thread seriously when the OP never came back to back up his statement & then we have all these new people coming on just to post on this thread to show their support for the breeder. I'm not doubting the breeder in question as I do not know her personally or even at all, but the way this thread has spiraled makes it look suspicious.

I love that Cathey came on here to talk to us all direct.

That "JohnZ" never bothered to come back... well... that says a lot in my mind, too... and nothing positive.

Thanks Cathey!!

She is in top shape. her Mom informed me a few mons back that the crazy girl drank pond water & had gotten sick. At that point I informed the owner to take her to the vet which she had already planned to do. After that deal she is doing awesome. Her family needed help with training & I sent them to my trainer just south of them & we got her all straightened out no problem. Basically she is going through her teens & needed the right correction! All is well & doing great. As for the knee it corrected in no time at all & she was a normal mastiff pup!

I am a hobby breeder that is in love with the breed! Everyday is learning no matter how much you may know today... Tomarrow will teach you more! I have 2 males & 4 females. We show our youngest stud & are 2 points from our championship. This is my first showing of dogs period. It has taken over a yr to get this far but we are almost there. Family- I am married with 3 children 9, 13,17 and live on a small farm in Indiana! We like to take our dogs to town in stores, elderly homes, schools & educate ppl on our breed. I am VERY out spoken & most often speak what is on my mind!

CatheysCC, since you are here, I have a few questions that once answered may help you with the attacks on your kennel here. Have you done any official health testing on your dogs? Any temperament testing? How many litters have you produced? What is it you are looking to produce using the pairings that you have? And a big question, the one that made me quite curious is based on this comment; " few other big name breeders purchased from them". I am curious who these big name breeders are, care to elaborate? How long have you put into understanding the standard, and can you honestly assess your dogs to that standard?

We'll sounds like johnz is an ass! Making such claims then disappearing. Cathy you may want to find other sites he may have joined just to bad mouth you.
Sounds like johnz wanted this pup for a present for someone if he was in such a hurry to get it,only to find out that someone didn't want the pup.

These are all great questions that should be asked of any breeder...
