Another ear posting thread...

Hey folks,
I am a new CC owner of male 15 weeks today. His name is Nero. I had his ears cropped 3/20/20(at 12 weeks) and stitches out on 3/30. Vet did the old cup and tape post surgery but within 2 days my boy had ripped those off, so I left them to breathe 8 days until first vet posting. He used foam and tape. Lasted about 3-4 days. I reposted them with Osto-Bond and molefoam/tape.
Here we are 9 days of posting and they still want to fall on top of his head and they kinda seem to point forward. The left ear had a bad crease but I fixed some of that with MY posting. I want to re-post tomorrow for another 5-7 days and see if they will stand better.
One pic is of him totally relaxed and the head up pic is how they look all day today with the posting off.

Should I be worried they will never stand? I know they will go limp with teething...

I don't know much about Corso crops. I'm primarily a boxer girl - hence the name. I've heard that massage helps a lot and they usually do stand without much help from posting. I do feel that the longer the crop the more work it takes to make them stand.

My vet has a consult before cropping. He looked at my pups head and how she carried her ears and told me if he cut them they would lay on her head like yours does because she had ear dimples that pulls them forward and across. He said cutting her ears would not be a problem but getting them stand would be a act of congress. He has successfully cut other pups I've had so I respect his opinion and opted to leave her natural. So if your puppy held her ears high and tight and they had a little cross tilt towards its nose like mine did then Maybe they will maybe they won't. That's the gamble when it comes to cropping. Some times puppies hold their clipped ears oddly and as they heal the head grows they end up perfect. If your vet is reliable then I say follow his recommendations.
