A beautiful day for shed hunting!

We tried our hand (paw?) at shed hunting for the first time this season. It's a little early, but the weather was a balmy 38 degrees, the sun was shinning and I figured if nothing else, we could find the deer's trails and bedding areas for next time! As luck would have it, no sheds were found this time, but lots of fun was had. I was heartened to at least see Yogi following the deer paths and diligently sniffing the beds.

My biggest concern is that he is tracking the deer just to get to the deer poop, which he loves... I think in training I need to make finding sheds MORE valuable than finding poop. Which is apparently very hard to do.
