Great looking pup. I think his weight is fine by his appearance.

    Dry food advice

Hello Gus never had any issues on the Orijen at all. When you say upset stomach do you mean he is throwing up the food, loose stool? One issue I had was he would throw up some foam early in the morning before his first feeding. When I looked into this it was a hunger puke as they called it...

    More sadness

Sorry to hear that Glen. You are right, we just don’t have enough time with our best friends. I swore we wouldn’t get another dog because the loss of our Bull Mastiff was painful. I soon realized that we still needed the companionship they provide. All the best to you and Budcuss!

    Dry food advice

We had our Mastiff pup on Orijen large breed puppy before switching to a raw diet. He seemed to do ok on the dry, but did much better after switching to raw. He’s almost 7 months and now over 100 pounds.

    Looking for a new kibble!

We switched our 6 month old English Mastiff to a raw diet. He gets beef and chicken blend, beef pork and chicken blend, pure turkey and a blend of chicken and lamb. Occasionally we add raw fruit or veggie to it and add herring oil in his morning feed. Gus is thriving on this, eating 3- 1 pound...

    Dog height

My 6 month old English Mastiff’s hind is higher than his shoulders at the moment. Looks like he’s running down hill :) Hopefully that adjusts soon. How tall is your DDB at the shoulders?

Trying to determine if I should adopt/save aggressive cane corso.

How old is the dog and how long has the present owner had the dog? Has he been neutered? Is he aggressive towards his current owner and family? He may be a different dog once outside it’s domain. I’m no expert on dog behaviour but maybe get him muzzled and take out off the property on leash to...

Growing up nicely. How do you get his nails so short? You must grind them regularly.

    Puppy food help!

Welcome to the site. My English Mastiff , Gus, was stared on the Orijen Large Breed Pup food that he did well on. Huge poles of poop and stinky gas. We fed him 1.25 cups 3 times a day based on an adult weight of 170 pounds I have now switched him to a raw diet at 5 months of age. We started with...
