Im in the uk and know there are some on this forum that also are,
2 of my ccs have been poisoned, we think theyve either done it so they can burgle our property or take work vans and tools.
The boys are ok now, but its been 3 weeks of hell,
Please check your properties.

Get a camera for your property. I'm glad the dogs are ok.
Weve got cameras, we can see items being thrown but not the person, law states cameras cant record whats off our property,
Its now alerting us off our ptoperty also. Sick of the law.

Time to get some timer bright lights that will go on whenever anyone intrudes on your property. Or look into a noise timer that will do the same thing.

Sorry to hear, glad dogs are well again. Probably your dogs size saved them. Was vet able to confirm what was used to poison them ?
This is has also been happening in Ireland too mostly rural areas.

Definitely sorry to hear that, but glad the dogs are ok.

I bought Argus 3 cameras that have an extremely bright LED light that activated whenever there is movement. They also record sound, so maybe you can't see them but maybe an audio recording mught give you a clue who it could be. The cameras are 100% solar powered and the resolution is high.

That is a crazy law that you can't record what's off your property. I record all the way down to the sidewalk in front of my house.

Yes it was definatly the size of my dogs that saved them, its was a mixture of paracetamol, ibrufen, traces of vit d ect, they put it in the end of the finger of a latex glove then into food.
And we are rural lincolnshire, dogs are being stolen slso, its crazey.
It wont be happening again,

We have security lighting and cameras, but they werent allowed to be positioned off our property even though its just open grazing land, there is a public footpath running through the field, we have now placed cameras to run outside of our boundaries, iv spoke to the land owner and he agrees with us, my dogs are not going through that again, i honestly thought we were going to lose our eldest.
There indoor dogs, never left outside if we are out.

Terrible! We had a Doberman years ago that was poisoned. It put our poor boy through the ringer. We never found the people who did it. Glad your pups are doing well and I hope you catch these awful people.

Glen, I'm so sorry to hear this and so glad everyone is okay now. I just don't understand why people do the things they do.

All for easy pickings as they thought, my boys are not being trained not to pick any foor ect up off property, they wont touch anything when we are out on walks
They all seem very high gaurding now, i know they can sense my worry,

Glen- very interested how you are training the “no touch” off property. Our Boerboel is so quick to grab and eat ANYTHING on walks-hence the visits to the Vet with “garbage gut”. Diarrhea/ Vomit. Thankfully nothing of poison. It’s easier to watch her on leash but free range is challenging. I’m thrilled your pups are doing well. Any side effects? Our Dobie took ages to gain back his strength. Thanks for sharing!

Gandalf has had an upset stomache the longest, but seems to be out of it now.
The training, we used food they loved, had them attached to us so everybtime they went to even sniff what was on the floor we used the leave it command, weve always done this with our pups, when our kids was young now for grandkids, they have sweets ect and didnt want dogs ill. On walks we did the same, we placed food on walks, had them on a training leash, we knew where it was so could plan our training, our property we have been doing the same now, we give the boys raw bone and they often lay outside to chew on them, this is how we think they have thought it was ok to eat what was there.
We now put raw bone in a bowl outside, they can only have it on our say so, boels then removed, we put the same raw bone down around the property thats not in s bowl, leave it command even if they approach it, then praise and treat. 8ts been 3 weeks, watched on security cameras yesterday to see if they touched the meat, they didnt. You need time and patience, but its worth it, i love my boys, cant witness that again,
Iv also promised them the first bite if the scumbags come back.
