Ear Crop Question

Hey guys, looking for some help, I had Ghost and Sage ears done 2 weeks ago, stitches came out today they healed very nice! The problem I have is the vet posted and I've read everything from they need to be posted or they don't need to be " just simply rub them several times a day etc! These guys sure are miserable with their ears taped! My profile pic is the male the day after the crop of course they have folded toward the top of his head and hers have as well I guess from wearing the cone of shame for 2 weeks! The vet says post them for a week maybe 2. Anyone have any tips?

We haven't posted before and haven't had issues, on both of my females they have left one ear a touch longer and both I thought I should post, they however had other plans so they didn't stay posted and neither had any issues for them to stand.

Mary, I know it's hard to judge by pics, I think the vet did the correct crop, not to short and not to long! I just hate to put them through another week of Cones if it's not really necessary! Having 2 is a chore, they haven't really been able to play much and I know they're frustrated, as well as myself, lol.

We had 7 in cones for 10 days, they were not posted or stitched up (pulled up over the head) while they healed. At 10 days we removed stitches but kept the cones on for another couple of days until we had most of the scabs cleaned off. From the picture you posted the ears look good so to be honest I wouldn't fuss outside of the rubbing as it is just more irritating for them I think to have the postings on. If I can find some pictures of when we did our pups I will trying to send them but I can't guarantee I took any as most pet people don't want see those pictures they just want to see their puppies looking cute which is fine with me.
