What I've been up to

Since Junior's passing, I have been trying to keep myself busy by way of helping out a local Bully rescue group.
My main contribution has been having one of their pups over to my place for overnighters. We do the hikes and adventuring before hand, then call it a night. He sleeps in the bed of course, and is quite the snuggler!

This is Redbull.

I will be officially fostering a pup as soon as he flies into town. Any day now! No one at the shelter has any experience with this kinda pup either... What could it be? ;)

You are a Saint...St. Roch. He is a patron saint of dogs, falsely accused people, bachelors, and several other things (Courtesy of Wikepedia)
Well, he covers dogs, and bachelors....so far so good as pertains to you. You haven't been falsely accused of anything have you? (Tee Hee!)

I must admit Mr. Redbull is a very interesting dog. I showed a picture of him to my daughter who has a soft spot for Pitties, but, unfortunately, it's very hard to have them here...and it is too far to send him for adoption.

Maybe you'll wind up with Mike the DDB and with Rudbull the Pittie! Junior would be proud of his Pop helping these two dogs make it through a tough time. You really are a Saint in my books.

He is gorgeous AK and hopefully he is providing a bit of comfort to you. I know Junior is looking on and proud of you.

Can't wait to see pictures of your new foster!

This is currently in my possession... His name is Mike, he's a 6.5 year old DDB, and I'm thinking he'll be sticking around...

His personality is amazing... Like, all aspects amazing. He wasn't abused in the past, ignored maybe, he's a little clingy because he knows I'll love on him. And he's extremely healthy. :)

Mike, my heart swells with happiness...two souls have found each other and Junior is smiling knowing his Pop will be well cared for. Yes, I see his paw in this arrangement...his best wish for you, a Mastiff to reward your days for being the best Dad in the world.

Is Mike a confirmed foster failure?! If so, congratulations! Thank you for fostering/rescuing!

It will be! I might sign on the dotted line today when I stop by to help them with a pretty spooky Boerboel that just got there. Everyone there is fairly terrified... Should be interesting.

That is so exciting and very happy news. I am curious to hear about how the spooky boerboel is doing that everyone is terrified of and how you address it. Please fill us all in on the story after your visit and of course updates about Mike as well. :)

They didn't need me after all! He is starting to come around with how the rescue works, "Go here, go there, hang out in here", and we all agreed that I shouldn't see him and disrupt their progress just so I could look at him. Which is a bummer because he is quite the looker. Anyway, he has a potential adopter coming in in the next couple of days, someone who knows the breed.

Well that is fantastic news though disappointing you couldn't see him. Glad to hear he already has a potential adopter. :)
