Leonidas has several bumps under his chin and lower part of his upper lip. We use stainless steel bowls and keep them clean! We wipe his face every time he eats or drinks. We have been wiping his face two-three times a day with hydrogen peroxide and human acne wipes(Oxy Clean) ...
I have some 500mg amoxicillin.. Do you think the anabiotic help clear this up?

Thank you in advance for all your help!

Ps-
Bellona is doing great after her round worm infestation!

Food allergies cause pimples too. My boxer had the same thing for awhile. Took her off chicken all together and it went away. My cc Enzo is getting skin tag/ hard pimples looking things around his eye. Have you had this before?20140115_212416[1].jpg

I haven't seen that kind of mark on him yet..

I'm thinking it might be hormonal ... We have a 3 month old female CC and before her our 7 month old female CC was close to coming in heat (her behavior was changing and he wouldn't leave her alone) .. We are looking into a new dry food to switch him over too... But we our wedding in four months spending 75$ for 25 pound bag isn't in the cards. We are doing some raw food but mostly deer meat..

I got my Cane on Taste of the wild puppy formula. If hes an adult then i would recommend the Taste of the Wild Grain Free Lamb dry food. Thats what i have switched my boxer too when she had acne and it went away. 45$ for a 30 lb bag.

My dog has had those here and there but they happen less often now. They almost seem like ingrown hairs of some kind.

I also have a friend who's boxer got pimples with certain foods.

I feed Fromm 4 star and switch recipes every once in a while but mainly feed chicken.

that is fungus infection antibiotic don't help it, buy Mal-A-Ket and wipe it 2 times a day, my female has something like that 2 years ago, I took her to the dermatology after a few test and $350.00 for the doctor this product solve the problem in 4 or 5 days. this product cost around $10 good lock

I use a solution of 50/50 aplle cider vinegar and water when Kryten has pimples. I just soak a cotton ball and wipe it over anywhere that they are present and then dry his chin with a clean towel, once or twice a day. Kryten just recently had a major breakout where they had started to break and bleed after I started a Lamb based food, hopefully they will completely go away once he is off it.

That's just typical acne, in my opinion. Not a big deal and not something I've given antibiotics for in years. I've honestly not found Mal-A-Ket wipes to be any more effective than stainless bowls kept clean, keeping the face dry, not picking, washing with cider vinegar (I like Bragg organic raw ACV), and waiting it out. Ella's coming up on another heat cycle and her face has broken out again, so it does appear to be hormonal for her. I looked at my Mal-A-Ket wipes and passed on using them because they really stink and she rubs her face and that opens the pimples and invites bacteria in. It really seems to bother me a whole lot more than it does her.

ACV seems to be the solution of choice.

Has anyone tried coconut oil on them? it's also has anti-fungal properties. Thought it might be easier on the skin?

They are pimples, not a fungus. I have used the Mal-A-Ket wipes for my girl and they did help. For Crickett it was hormonal...she got them bad a few times between 5-10 months of age. She is now 2 and never gets them. You also want to try and keep the chin area dry. She had them really bad one time, they were bleeding and some looked infected, so I did use an antibiotic. I wouldn't advise going down that road if you don't have to. My vet wrote me a script for Mupirocin Ointment 2%. It's used to treat skin infections on people, but he said it works on dogs too. I used it with great results, so you may want to see if you can get a script for it.

I've thought about it but decided either Jiggers or Monkey would start to lick his chin then.

Could it be an allergy to maybe some toys? My sisters dog breaks out in little pimples all over his chin like that any time he chews any toy that is rubber. Just a suggestion

Thank you for all the great ideas! I have been washing their bowls after every feeding, we are switching his food back to Blue. And I'm washing his face at least once a day. We always keep his face clean and dry( tile flooring makes for a slip in slide when wet with drool) .. The pimples are spreading on to his nose and lips.. Some have pooped & bleed. :-(

Kato has the same thing. They can even get bad enough to bleed. Our vet said that it is hormonal and should clear up with age. Make sure to keep it dry and clean.

Thanks Smokey!!

UPDATE!!

Leonidas is doing much better! Still has the bumps under his chin but they aren't red, inflamed or gooey any more! And he's getting so much easier to deal with too! Washing his face with a infant face wash my old job gave me ( I was a medical assistant at an OBGYN ) seems to work great! We've been keeping his bowls super clean and have even changed to two bowls a day (one for raw and one for kibble) . Thank you all very much for your help!!
