  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

I'm officially unemployed.

I'd forgotten just how helpless some 18y olds are. We received multiple letters over the summer that stated that all fees related to laptop program (required part of the study program) must be paid and you must have a valid student ID before you could pick up your laptop at 8am Sept. 4. There were a dozen or so students that were sent to go pay for &/or get their ID when they showed up. I heard 4 of them say "I didn't know that".

I'm happy for you, many people (including me) find reasons for not taking that leap, & regret it later. As far as freshman go....I worked on college campuses for 12 years, & got so tired of holding the hands of those babies. "Didn't you read the instructions?" "No, my mom just told me to....(insert action)". You're a grownup now, you need to do for yourself. You've got a huge jump on those kids, you have a level head & won't have to depend on anyone else to do the right thing. You're going to be great!

I'm remembering why I enjoyed school. That said my brain is way out of practice. My math class did a review of grade 6 algebra. I've always been good at math but that was a LONG time ago and I don't remember much of it. Time to go study I guess.

So far this has been one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I miss a regular paycheck but I know this will get me a higher paycheck eventually.

Forgot to update this back in April when the year ended. Oops. Unfortunately I lost my 4.0 but a cumulative 3.94 is still pretty good (all As but a couple were A-).

I go back for the second year in September. Right now I'm trying to earn as much money as I can.
