man itanhandu wipes the floor every year with atleast one champion. what the hell are other cafib breeders doing. I prefer senzala kennels instead of itanhandu.

well based on number of dogs they produce they would have better odds than most for their offspring to do well and the offspring seem to go to the many expositions to get the high marks. I am not positive about how they come by the champion rating but I believe it involves ranking from more than a single exposition to acquire. I have a feeling that maybe not all kennels with good dogs can afford to get to the many shows. This is a good question though about how the final champions are determined.

There are plenty of great cafib breeders, it's snooping when itanhandu is pretty much the only one winning.zebra you own a fila lol I thought you were just an admirer.

I can post up video of both of these dogs later. as to the "money" aspect I know for a fact that Cuba is owned by a guy who is a YWAM missionary and has very little money and financial support. So that fact kind of debunks the idea that only the "rich" have champions. The male, Veron is not owned by Itanhandu Kennel either but another breeder (he just happens to have been bred from Itanhandu kennel).

I am speaking to what you said about most cant afford to show as much. It's like blenders. A guy can make a great one and make a great living at it. But he will never(short of luck) out sale ninja.

woops....I made a big mistake, the male champion (and also overall champion) wasn't Veron...it was Zenon do Itanhandu!! oops. my bad. I don't know why I had remembered it wrong. Veron was the 2nd place male.

Zenon also was awarded: best head (cuba was 2nd best head), Best temperament (cuba was 3rd best)

Did anyone else think that the guy swinging the hat at the dog (not the one outside the fence) was a complete moron? Or am I the only one?

And wouldn't swinging a hat at the dog make the dog perceive hats a threat?

I think the same thing when the dogs are behind a fence or barrier...I mean I had a lab that was ferocious behind a fence but otherwise did nothing (just loved fence guarding). It's like "what's the point??" other than sensationalism to see some teeth and frothy mouth for the camera.

I kind of doubt that the hat is focal point for the dog anyhow but rather the person and their actions so I doubt it would register to even perceive hats but that's just my guess.
