Yay, finally our little Betsy girl has come home with us. I could huff her fur and breath like a drug.
She's a gem! We had a 2.5 hour car ride home. She sat in my lap and watched the kids the entire ride. After 45 minutes, we made a stop for a potty break so I put her in the grass and she wanted to follow the kids. It was like she knew that they were hers from the first minute!
She seems like she's really calm and happy. She slept all night last night from 11 to 6. I think it's because my kids made her beyond exhausted. ;-)
I put her in my kitty carrier today and took her to the vet, she's 13 pounds at just a few days shy of 8 weeks. The vet adored her and said she already seemed to have a really sweet temperament.
The kids and I are in love with her............Ranger not so much. This experience is not at all unlike bringing home my second child. The older one was jealous and put out and had his feelings hurt.
I do feel bad for her because she will trot around my house purposefully. I wonder if she's looking for her littermates and her mom.
