Betsy is home!!

Yay, finally our little Betsy girl has come home with us. I could huff her fur and breath like a drug.

She's a gem! We had a 2.5 hour car ride home. She sat in my lap and watched the kids the entire ride. After 45 minutes, we made a stop for a potty break so I put her in the grass and she wanted to follow the kids. It was like she knew that they were hers from the first minute!
She seems like she's really calm and happy. She slept all night last night from 11 to 6. I think it's because my kids made her beyond exhausted. ;-)

I put her in my kitty carrier today and took her to the vet, she's 13 pounds at just a few days shy of 8 weeks. The vet adored her and said she already seemed to have a really sweet temperament.

The kids and I are in love with her............Ranger not so much. This experience is not at all unlike bringing home my second child. The older one was jealous and put out and had his feelings hurt.

I do feel bad for her because she will trot around my house purposefully. I wonder if she's looking for her littermates and her mom.

Congrats on your new baby!!! How exciting!!! I understand being able to huff her and breathe her in!! LOL Glad everything is going well and I am sure Ranger will come around. She may be searching for her :known" but she may also be just curious and checking the place out especially if she isn't crying while she is doing it. I can't wait to watch her grow up!!

Oh yeah she has got the cute thing covered big style! And I like the wine glass next to the bed...you are going to need a few of those with a new pup. LOL

Ha yeah, it's actually just a glass of water, but I could have used some wine last night!

Last night was rough. She wouldn't go to sleep, then she was up twice in the middle of the night (which seems typical to me). Of course she will pass out cold whenever one of the kids puts her on my bed. She snuggles into the pillows and passes out. But, she wants nothing to do with the crate that has a stuffed animal and a blanket that smells like her mom andlittermates.

Poor thing. She's so sweet and my dog wants NOTHING to do with her. He just turns tail and runs when he sees her coming. And today she was swatted on the nose by my cat! :-(
At least she is learning people are friendly.

Wow.......she's sweet, naughty, and getting sassy!!

She likes to hide under my deck. I'm sure she won't fit under there for long, but it's rather inconvenient to have to wait outside for an hour for her to wake up from her nap so I can leave my backyard, lol.
Tonight she had a pretty nasty growl at me when I took her out from my bushes where she's not allowed.

On the other hand, we walked the boys home from school today and she was so cute trotting behind her boys the whole way home.

In reality.........I'm not getting anything done! She's taking all of my attention and I can't even organize my thoughts. Yep, there's a baby in the house, hahahaha!
