  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Hello all,

We are finally going to get our female Cane Corso on 12/22/21. We have waited a long time for this day. There has been a lot of research, continuous conversations with the breeder (the breeder actually talks/messages us almost every day), and lots of getting ready for her (buying stuff, vet dates scheduled, training classes set up, preparing food for her). This pic was taken on 12/10

We will definitely enjoy our time with her. She is going to be spoiled. Yes she is beautiful. We can't wait to start her training. She will be going through puppy classes, 2 levels of obedience (plus daily training at home), and then she is going into conformation training so my fiancé can show her in the ring.

Olive is a almost 16 weeks old and weighing in at 36lbs (16.32kg). The pictures are her and my 4 year old playing at the dog park. It was nice to not have anyone else at the park for her first time being there. They both had a lot of fun.

Olive is now 4 months old and weighing in at 40.2lbs(18.2kg). We believe she is growing at a good, slow, steady rate. Gotta keep it slow with these bigger breeds. She is a little love bug. We start classes on 3/12. We have been doing some training on our own waiting for all shots before exposing her to any other dogs or facilities.

Lovely corso. Enjoy her, they´re fantastic dogs

We are definitely enjoying her. We are now waiting for our male to be born. The breeder said we should have him in our hands late August or early September. For we are learning her little quirks and enjoying her in our home. She is a blast and very smart.

Olive had her first puppy class on Saturday (3/12). Her class has 4 other pups in it. She did very well with the other pups. No excessive barking, growling, or dominating. She would chase a little and then return to me and sit at my side. All without any recall. When I did recsll she came almost instantly. The only thing the trainer did not like was her jumping up on people for greetings. Olive hasn't figured out her size yet. Lol. Can't wait to go back Saturday for class 2 of 6. At the end of the 6 class she will receive her S.T.A.R puppy certificate and then we start 6 weeks of Obedience 1. At the end of Obedience 1 she can test for her CGC. I suppose we better start working on that.

These early classes are all about making learning fun, imo. Sounds like she's really doing well. Do you have willing friends and neighbors to work on a polite greeting? She'll get it quickly if she gets her favorite high value treat and no attention until all four remain on the floor or she's in a default sit. (Although there's some discussion now about owners using sit too often. It can be uncomfortable for many dogs and a stand or down may be easier for them to perform as they get large and unwieldy. Makes some sense to me.)

Olive is now 5 months old and weighing in at 51lbs. This Saturday will be her last S.T.A.R. puppy class and then we go into Obedience classes starting on the 30th. She is great on lead, very aware of her surroundings, great with the family including our 4 year old daughter. We went for a small walk the other day and as we were talking to another couple with a puppy, she sat and watched everyone around us. When a gentleman wslked by that we had not acknowledged, she let out a few low growls and then let out a bark. Good girl Olive!!!! Here are s couple of pics for everyone to enjoy.20220405_121255.jpg20220406_160824.jpg
