Hey Guys and Gals!

I have just recently had a new little guy join our lives and I thought I would join the forms here to learn and talk to other Mastiff owners as it seems like our dogs are unicorns.

We're from Manitoba Canada. Our boy's name is Bayne is a Pure Breed CKC Registered Old English Mastiff. We brought him home last Thursday and at just 8 weeks old he weighed 30.2 lbs!

Hi guys!
Just wanted to give you an update on Bayne! He just turned 11 weeks old the 7th! Went to the vet for his second set of shots. Weighed in at 44lbs on the calibrated scale. Guy is growing like a weed! He is gaining around 5lbs a week right now. I attached some photos so you can see his progress.

Thank you!
i will be sure to keep up with pics as he grows. He is growing so fast already! seems like every day I come home from work he's bigger and bigger.
This little guy comes from big lines as well. His dad is a lean 240lbs and his mom is over 200lbs as well! I got a photo sent to me from the breeder of his half brother (same dad different mom) and he is just over a year old and 219lbs and growing!

looking forward to seeing how much this guy grows and being apart of this Mastiff community.

Bayne got a new bed this past weekend! 40x60x6 orthopedic memory foam! hopefully it will be big enough for when he gets bigger. he already out grew his puppy bed and he would absolutely squish the heck out of it. this bed is rated to hold over 200lbs

He turned 3 months old finally on the 22nd and he couldn't be happier. The "little" guy weighs a whopping 60.0 lbs already!!

What a sweety! Just love that black mask. Can't wait to see more pics. Ah, the puppy days! So long ago for me, but I get to live vicariously through the pups on the Forum. Oh, and it is great to see more Canadians joining. I'm out in Ontario. Welcome!

Thank you!! Yes its incredible how fast he is growing. He eats a ton of food already haha. Already costing $105 worth basically every two weeks to feed. this guy is a little payment! He is super cute though and we love him.

recently he found out how to climb into bed so when its bedtime and we go to bed often we find him laying on our bed. we have to tell him no you sleep on your own big comfy bed. typically when I leave for work in the morning he climbs into bed with mom

Just thought I would give you guys a little update. Bayne is now almost 16 weeks old and he stands just under 23 inches tall at the shoulder, and weighs in at 66lbs last time I weighed him. I am not sure how that compares to other dogs but seems like he is slightly on the heavier/higher side of things. Must be his big lines. He eats all his food thoughout the day in small portions, coming to it and taking a few bites and walking away which I like. We just have to control his water as he will drink a TON then he cant hold it and will have a huge mess in the house for when someone gets home.

Bayne sounds like he’s doing great! We also free feed our Boerboel and have with all our dogs. It still comes down to about three/four feedings a day and we use smaller portions. Has Bayne found his “big boy” bark? I think it was around the 15/16 week mark for Daisy when she let out a deep “keep away” bark to a passerby! Proud Mom moment! Send in a pic of your EM. Great update!

He most certainly is! I love watching this little guy grow and looking at him as the weeks go by and seeing how much he’s grown.
His feeding is really good , I do portion his food out for him so I know how much he’s getting but I just give him all his food in the morning and he slowly eats it throughout the day. Right now he eats 8 cups a day of Acana Large Breed Adult. 407cal/cup so he gets just about 3300 calories a day. September 15th our feeding guide shows him going up to 10 cups a day, which will be just over 4000cal a day.

His bark has got deeper slowly but no big boy bark yet. I’m still waiting as I know he will have a wicked one.

Little update on Bayne.

took him camping this past weekend we were unsure how he would do but he absolutely loved it. He walked the trails all by himself and was able to navigate through the tough climbs with ease.

He sure is loving the cool temps we’re getting here (2-7°C at night/35-45°F)

seems like he’s going to get a double coat.

had to stop often walking the trails camping for people to pet him haha. Everyone loves him. Asking what kind of dog he is. Asking how old.

he is a 15 weeks old right now closing in on 16 weeks. He stands just over 23 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs 73 lbs.

He’s finally getting his big boy bark as well. A nice deep WOOF sounds pretty scary coming from him.

hope everyone enjoys the updates as much as I do.
