Some updated photos. Rhaegar turned 6 this year (I started coming on this forum when he was just a little puppy), and Dany is 2 and a 1/2. No good snow this past winter, and our vacation to a cabin in the woods was canceled due to COVID, so most pics are just from around the farm.

And I'm very sorry to say we lost our sweet Juno 6 months after she was diagnosed with heart failure. The house is still so, so quiet without her.

I'm so, so glad to hear from you. I'm such a mother, lol. I worry when we don't hear from our extended forum family members. As always, everyone looks gorgeous. So happy and healthy. I can't believe Rhaegar is six! Your goats! I have a longing for big dogs, goats, and chickens. I'm holding out hope that someday we will spend half the year in Montana with my daughter and I'll get those things, including horses and ferrets. I'm sorry to hear about Juno. I gained a new appreciation for her breed from your stories and pictures. Take care and check in when you can.

I love all the photos and the update. How on earth did you capture that shot with the butterfly? Also I am sure I have asked before but what kind of camera are you using? I really need to start learning how to use a real camera so I can get some better quality photos.

I seriously love seeing all of your farm updates. Everyone looks so happy. It makes me wish we lived on a farm. Then again I have my hands pretty full with just the two dogs and two cats and new baby so for now I will just fantasize about farm life and live vicariously through your photos. :)

I also am so sorry to hear about Juno.

Looks like a vacation to me although I know it can’t be easy keeping all those animals fed , cleaned and watered. Thanks for sharing.

Ha, I know the feeling. I stop by every now and then and read posts and check on everyone, but I'm not so good about posting. And I don't know how the years pass by so quickly. I try not to, but I'm already starting to worry about something happening to Rhaegar. He's my rock, and I need him with me for a long, long time.

We just keep expanding our little farm. We're up to 18 chickens and about as many goats, and we just added a new little buck and two lambs we're bottle feeding (photos on the way, lol). We're milking our dairy goats, and I greatly expanded my garden and am learning to can our food for the first time. It's all been a lot of work, but it's so very rewarding. I find it so peaceful and satisfying, which is unfortunately not something I can say about my "real" job. So it's all been very therapeutic for me! I didn't know this was something I needed in my life until I had it. And it's literally all because of Rhaegar, lol. If it weren't for him, we'd still be stuck in the city. We bought this property because I wanted somewhere that Rhaegar could exercise daily off leash safely without encountering dogs or strangers. Then we got chickens so Rhaegar could have his eggs, and then we got goats because we needed some brush control for the large property. And well, it kind of snowballed from there!

I do hope you get your wish someday!

I just got lucky and managed to be in the right place at the right time with the butterfly. My camera is a Canon EOS Rebel T5i. I've been busy, so I haven't taken as many photos recently as I have in the past. I need to get back to it. And I'm pretty sure a baby is like the work of three farms, lol.

They are adorable, love the names,
Budcuss ,gandalf and gollom all doing fine, budcuss as got his old boy grey flecks bud still as handsome, and still acts like a pup at times. Been very lucky with my boys , they fit together so well. I have 5 grandchildren as well now, they watch over them when there here,
Always loved rhaegar, love his markings, his face looks like hes full of mischeif.
