Thanks!!! Here's another pic for you!!Beautiful pups!! LOVE That picture with them eating... one lifting the other off the floor. ROFL!!!
In the video GaMei posted on page 1 of this thread... that 'huff huff' sound the dog is making... I've heard it said (somewhere), that is the sound of a dog laughing. Very happy dog in the video, for sure!!
And your two puppies look VERY happy, too. Looks like they hit the jackpot in your family!
Sounds like you've done some great research, also... keep working them on keeping socialized, learning new people/places/objects all the time, gaining calm confidence and bonding with all the humans in the family, too. From your comments, it sounds like you know to work with them separately as well as together, so they look to you and don't get overly dependent on each other. There are some others here that have raised sibling puppies together - tmricciuto comes to mind... she might have some good recommendations on things to do to keep after two at once. Glad it's you and not me!!
Keep us posted! Would love to see LOTS more pictures of these two!!
Thank you guys! We are trying really hard to push the other away when we're paying attention to the other. Because as of right now they always try to butt in. I also try to pay attention bc one seems to be tired of playing before the other and she'll go,up to her crate and just hang out, and I correct the other to chill out and give her a toy/bone instead. Im also trying to work on nipping. I know they still have baby teeth and the one wants to just at hold,on to fingers gently, but it's not okay bc it can, scare other ppl or hurt children. They also get little nibbles on noses and chins between kisses. Or fingers when playful. I never had that issue with my other dog so I keep trying diff things I read. Any good suggestions on stopping that? Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
Haha u know, I didn't even think about it, but you're right. I keep feeling like they're so much younger bc we jist got them. Someone stated that and I was swept up,in the conversation bc,i was busy browsing their teeth. That would make no sense hahaha. they still have a bad habit that's driving me nuts. And no excuse now! Lol!They shouldn't still have baby teeth. Those are usually gone around six months. Just figured I'd mention it in case you got worried if they didn't fall out. Lol
Thanks! That's what I don't understand. If they truly are dogo, u spend your time cropping ears, why their outcome? I have to assume someone would be willing to pay a pretty penny for them as puppies. Idk. Glad they wound up with us, though. I'm excited to watch them grow and keep learning their little, well big, personalities. Also, the chances of getting two dogs with the same characteristics would be slim if they were a pit mix. Also, the fact that their ears are cropped suggests someone put a bit of thought/money into them
