Cane corso the italica (owned by Zoe devita) has been in the field for 14 years (she said). The dogs are amazing, but the owner is a SCAMMER! Trusted her because she is Number 1 cane corso breeder , cannot believe she is SCAMMING buyers.BE CAREFUL WITH UNDISCLOSED SWTICHED OR TERMS!My sister and i wanted to buy a puppy for show from cane corso the italica. The puppy cost $2800, the vet to cut the ears cost $400. she showed us a picture of a nice puppy. We decided to get her. We drove down to her house (took us 3.5 hr each way)to pick up the puppy. We saw the puppy, we were so happy. My sister had suspicion that this puppy she is holding looks a bit different. She didnt say anything and chose to TRUST her. I would NEVER THOUGHT number 1 Cane Corso bredeer in USA WILL SWITCH the puppy without telling the buyer. We left with the puppy, half way home we realize the puppy is not show quality (scared when seeing other kind of dogs, bad temper). Then we saw the puppy's nose has white marks that pottentialy will grow larger. We ask her if this is a different puppy, then admitted that it is a different puppy. Her reason was:" at the end I decided the other one had a face that I wasn't happy with. Yours is much better. Like I said I gave u mine"The funny part is when i ask her:"why you didnt tell me you switched the puppy?" She said:"i am a fast person, i thought you knew, and i said I gave you mine"Instead of telling us when we were at her house picking up the puppy, she just gave us a hint :"I gave you mine"We asked to give us the original puppy that we were offered,She said that puppy is not good, will go home as a pet.We asked for refund, she said no.She said she only can give me half refund which is $1600Then she said fine i will give you $2500Then i told her i will file small claim against her which will only cost me $25 to get full refund. Then she agreed to give me $3000 She SCAMMED me for $200 plus g$#@!, toll money, and my time.buyers be careful with this breeder. I am sharing you my story because it happened. She thought i am a foreigner, and will go away in a blink or cant file lawsuit against her. When you buy a puppy from her, make sure1. The same puppy you were offered2. Get all paper works including registration papers3. DO NOT PAY CASH!4. Get RECEIPT - signed and dated

now i can't figure out how could you "half way home realize the puppy is not show quality (scared when seeing other kind of dogs, bad temper)" - first of all "show quality" is not related to temper, is related to looks and attitude after show training... secondly, "half way home" poor pup didn't have time to prove anything.

We stoped at a friend house. She has a small puppy. We let them get to know each other, but this puppy ran and hide, then she cried.Once we got home. She hide in the bathroom, never leave the corner. I understand some puppy needs training. She was completely fine when were at the breeder house. Then we get a closer look, she will be disqualified for show because of white pigment on her nose.

Have you thought about how traumatizing this is for a puppy?

Taken from from the only home they've known, leaving siblings, mom etc?

Your pup is a baby how are you able to assess attitude etc in an a few hours?

Re: MUST READ - Number 1 cane corso breeder "www.italicacanecorso.com" scammed buyers

She is old enough not to be scared of other small puppy. And according to the breeder she is a show puppy. I breed and sold show and pet quality puppies. Breeder can tell which one is show and pet from character, bones, walks, face, head, tail. She had good bones, tail, and walks, but she doesnt have sjow character and she has fault pigment on her nose. Breeder should not sell her for show if she is pet quality puppy that should go to a family home. I will never sell pet quality puppy to a show home.

Did you not see the white pigment on her nose immediately? Would that have not been your first thought when you saw her? Did the pup in the picture have that same pigment?

Re: MUST READ - Number 1 cane corso breeder "www.italicacanecorso.com" scammed buyers

Did not notice the white pigment. It is still small white spot on the nose. the breeder show her stand walk her around. She is good. She was 8-9 weeks. My concern is the breeder should have stated thatThis is a different puppy. And tell us why she decided to give us this one. If she did not mean to scam us, when we want to give the puppy back to her she should have receive her back or give us the original puppy that was offered. Moreover, if this is a show quality puppy, she will not have any problem selling her in the next couple days.

There definitely sounds like there is more to this story than has been revealed.

Im not from united states. She wants us to sign contract that she will be part of picking the males when we breed the dog in the future. We came clean to her before we went to pick up the puppy. There is a chance we will take the dog to our home country. Will that be okay with you? She said yes thats fine.. everyone has life. The dog is yours, but i want to be part of picking the male and i want the money from selling 1 puppy from her first litter. We agreed to that and we event made contract about that.

I've never heard of a CC with white spots on the nose. This would make me question the entire litter. It means there's a high probability they're not pure breed, and you want a show dog. You don't want to risk to see white spots on your chosen pup 6 months later. And I don't mean to offend, but for a person who shows dogs you're quite too quick to judge "temperament" at 8 weeks on the poor pup's way home... My CC pissed himself at 10 weeks when he saw a cat. And, believe it or not, he's as brave as he's supposed to be now. Even too brave.

.

I see, thank you..Yea, I was worried about the nose. That was why i insisted to return her. I mentioned the nose, when requesting a refund. She said she knew and it will go away. She has some white spot on the legs too but i read that it is okay to have some white spot on the legs and on the chest. But not on the nose.

Puppies can be scared. In fact I think puppies from guardian breeds might be more likely to be scared as a puppy. Leia definitely is. My friends neo's were. Imagine half of your genetics telling you never to back down and fight to the death while the other half is telling you that your job is to protect the flock from predators.

Thats my opinion on the temperament of your 9 week old. The white spots are another question. Thats a major fault and you should ask for your money back.

I don't know how it is with CC pups, but I do know that many boxers and other breeds are born with white pigmentation on their noses and it fills in as they age. I could show you pictures of my own dogs then and now (boxers) and their noses have filled in completely. Can one of our CC breeders answer that question? I'm curious now.

I haven't had any with white pigment or do you mean actual white patch of hair? I haven't had either so can't speak to whether it will fill in or not but have seen some large flashes that don't go away and some that do, guess it would come from if she has seen it in the past in her lines and has it actually changed. Do you have pictures of the puppies nose and perhaps Boxergirl could tell you if it is similar to what she used to see in boxers. I do have 2 dogs from Zoe and haven't had an issue with temperaments in my dogs from her or issues when dealing with her. I do not understand why you would expose your puppy to any other puppy before giving her a chance to settle in and bond with your family. You removed her from a setting she was comfortable in to everything foreign and expect her to still behave the same which seems a bit odd for me to from someone that was/is a breeder.

Haha, thanks. And there was no need to crop his ears. He holds them like this all the time. You can also see that his filled in nose in this pic - so as to not hijack the original thread. All of my brindle boxers have had white pigmentation on their noses. My fawn girl did not and my other fawn boy was adopted as an adult, so I don't know. Maybe it's a color thing?
