Dons makes really good guns!
Now all you need is a half dozen magpul P mags and a couple thousand rounds of 556
If you are not depending on the rifle to save you life cheap is good. Specially if it's mainly a mag dumper.
.
DeLeon is an ass hat! Amazing how many people believe what he says just because he is an elected politician on TV and those people don't understand anything about firearms in general. You know why they are so strict with that type of weapon?

The first thing you will probably find is that the AR's have crappy triggers.
That is easily remedied but can cost a lot of money depending on which way you decide to go.
There is a cheap fix and that is a JP reduced power hammer spring. Works great in my sons AR the only issue is some foreign or military surplus ammo has hard primers and it may not be enough power to ignite those hard primers. My son has had no problem with his gun but we don't have access to military surplus ammo just commercial amo and that has been flawless in his gun.
Another issue is for the most part the AR's don't like steel cased ammo like Wolf or Silver Bear. Mine doesn't digest it well neither does my sons, wife's AR still untested but I'll try it this week to see. I have about 750 rounds of Wolf I got suckered into thank goodness I have a couple of mini 14's that eat anything.
