Recommendations to patch a leaking roof??

With the recent rains I discovered that I have a leak in my roof. I'm looking to a sealant or roof patch that I can use to stop the leaks and get a few more years out of my roof. Right now the product in the lead is Henry Rubberized Wet Patch.

My level of DIY skills...I can paint a room and hammer a nail without hitting my fingers.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

It all depends on where it is leaking and how much. I had shingles missing on my roof, tar paper was blown of and the wood was exposed. I called out a roofer that patched it up and I paid him $100.00 cash.
