Not to say that other breeds aren't, pretty much any dog larger than a golden retriever looks muscular to me :D

Fila4me, i saw a post you made earlier, about you living with Dogo's for 20 years. How are they, compared to other guardian breeds?

I am really starting to research these guys. Beautiful breed and I love them when their ears are cropped.

Same, i think they are amazing. The puppies are always so cute. They look like Large American bulldogs.

One of these days I hope to get one of these dogs, a Dojo (as my insurance peeps say). I asked them you mean dogo? They said, no, DOJO. I said ok and just laughed at their ignorance after I hung up.

the Dogos are very similar, they take their responsibility of their charges very serious.there is no waivering from the task before them.they are loyal, goofy, clowns, aim to please and love to lounge around on the couch/bed!!LOL!!

I have always had my Dogos along with my Filas and Pit Bulls.so, it took me a bit in the beginning to see the Dogos as the protectors that they can be. I got my first Dogo 9 mos. before my first Fila.Paco was 10 mos when he came to live with me and just a big goofy puppy with extremely long legs and not very graceful.I started working on his training to be a show dog and he hated it! he would have been happier to follow me around the ring with no lead and if he could have he would have been a multi champion. he was just gorgeous,he is the pup with my breeder in the red shirt(at 18 mos)and also the in the head shot in the grass(10mos).we were at an ARBA show in DC,when he first showed me that he was every bit of a protector as my Filas. I had no kids in the early years and my dogs had limited exposure to kids.I moved to my own home and the neighbors had 8 kids, quite a shock to me and my dogs.after being in the house for 2 wks. my Dogos would cry when they saw the kids.it was like they had been around them their whole life.Dogos are amazing family dogs, they are kid magnets!!!

they are a Velcro dog, just like most of the other Mastiff breeds.the closest dog I have had that reminds me of the all around Dogo is my Pit Bull. only I have never experienced any kind of dog aggression with my Dogos. the Dogo is normally not a barky dog,so when my Dogos did bark I knew to check it out.the only problem I ever had with any of mine, even though they were raised with my cats who are dog savvy,2 were major cat killers.it never happened when I was close by,but they got a couple of my barn cats. but, any dog can be that way.

even though I do not have a Dogo right now, I will again in the future. they are just amazing and I really cannot imagine never have another one or three!!LOL!!

I hope it came out as clear as it was in my head!!

hahahah!!!! I was at a show years ago, waiting to be called in the ring, my Gracie and I were just standing there and another handler says "I think they are calling you dog". well, I pay more attention and she is hollering for the Dojo, lololol. I have been approached more than once by people who call them Dog-o,hehehe. I guess it is better than the Fee-la!!

Here's Tucker, about 4 months in the first picture and 10 or so in the second

What a cutie! His ears look hilarious in that first one!

Handsome boy! Is this the same boy in these two shots? Unfortunately Tango is getting quite s few pigment spots on his face now which makes him look (marginally) less cute. That boy in the first pic looks spotless!

Who said white dogs can't jump!? :D

Dogo was the dog I had my eyes on before I found Boerboels.

A Boerboel is in my future alongside Tango as soon as we move out of the city.

Hmm...I had a dog wonder up in my front yard a few weeks ago, I'm wondering if she was a Dogo. Here's pics:
