EM Breeder Discussion

All, I've searched on the site and can't find anywhere where we've created a comprehensive list of quality EM Breeders. We get a lot of people coming by asking for help finding a breeder and I think it would be helpful if we had a thread we could point them too. Plus, I'm 100% sure Lincoln isn't going to be my only EM. I'm already getting puppy fever again and I'd love a list of good breeders to look into.

My goal with this thread is to generate discussion. I'm going to post below a list of EM breeders that I've put together from numerous threads on this site. What I'm looking for from people is to #1, add any "quality" breeders to this thread, and #2 discuss the ones I've listed and ones added by other people. If you've had a bad experience, or if you've had a great experience with them tell us about it. If you know they don't do health testing or don't do any of the other things most people would consider common among "quality" breeders say something.

My plan is to take all of the information we generate in this thread (after it's been around long enough to get a lot of input) and summarize everything into a different thread. If it's a good enough reference thread, maybe it could be stickied. If not, it can still be somewhere we point new people to who are looking for EM breeders.

I know we have a lot of other Mastiff Breed owners on this site, but to keep this clean, I'm just looking for EM breeders. If this is a success, I'm sure similar threads could be started for some of the other mastiffs.

So here's my first list. Not too big, but a start. Please add to it and comment on the breeders.

Also, if there are any EM breeders on these forums and I didn't list your site, it was only because I forgot or didn't know. No offense meant.

Would it be possible to get the state put by the kennel name. St Patricks Mastiffs are AMAZING!!! FYI She just had a litter on the 17th.

When I summarize everything I'll probably organize all of the breeders by location/state/country. Thanks for the input everyone.

St Paticks does have some beautiful mastiffs.

So does anyone know who would be considered the top five or so breeders of EM's? Who are the "best" breeders? Is there someone out there breeding $10K EM's? Not that I'd want one. ;)

Hmmm....just realized Beowolf above won best of breed and this year's Westminster. Nice.

Also, looking back at past years it appears Lazy D wins darn near every year. Politics?

I've checked that site before. I'll shell out the $5 for the breeder referral list when I'm truly looking for another puppy in the future.

Beowolf dogs are beautiful dogs but I would never buy a puppy from a breeder that makes it MANDATORY to feed the food THEY feel is best. I understand trying to make sure the puppies are being fed proper food and if they gave a list of say 8 different foods that they felt was appropriate than that would be different but when they say that there is only one food you can feed and they link to a site to buy it from on several different places on their site I cant help but think that there is a monetary reason for it and they are using the leverage of "we wont sell you a puppy if you dont feed it" or "your health guarantee is void if you dont feed it" to force you to comply. With that said I never saw a puppy contract on their site so I dont know if its in writing that you have to use it but the wording on all the other pages lead me to believe thats the case.

On their puppy page it states its required for their pups, which I would assume to mean that its in their contract. Which would turn me off to. Every dog is different.

And for example in my case, that site doesnt deliver to Canada and taking dog food over the border ISNT fun. So what do I do? Very nice dogs, but I just wouldnt accept a restriction like that.

I wouldn't accept it anyways, much less with that kind of needing to import type problem!

There are LOTS of Mastiff breeders that aren't on the list above ... here are a few that are at least somewhat well known in certain circles, aren't on the list above and are not listed in any particular order:
