Ok Fila people - show me your best protection videos!

Hi friends...

I'm gonna be honest here, most of the Fila PP videos I have seen have been less than impressive to me. :(

But I know there are some good dogs out there - and some are here on this forum. I'd like to see the BEST Fila PP videos - only post the best tho...

Will you share them with me?

Thanks! :)

I dont have any vids just some pics of a true natrual reaction. No suit, no sleaves, no intent period. Just the wrong circumstance. But I would bet dogman, aceoutdoor, mountainfila, and I'm sure Tiger has some in the cache. To name a few. If dogman aint got none we need to fire him cause he hosted the cafib show. ahahahaha

Brad the problem you will run across is the majority of good Fila breeders in the US are private breeders who do not sell to the public and have no desire for the public to see their dogs. Many Fila breeders in general are very secretive about their program. Combine that with the rarity of the breed and you won't see many good temp videos. There are many out there, mainly shared between friendly breeders, who would not appreciate them being posted. That was alot of help right.

There nothing special. But at the time she was like 8 months or so. And my buddy who kona has know from a puppy, just happened to pick up a golf club while my wife was taking pics of us and my son on his new power wheels. Needless to say, my buddy is scared enough to never be close Kona again

I'm curious, why the double leash? Safety in case one breaks?

And since she was 'ok' to some degree before he picked up the club would she have been 'ok' with him the next time she saw him if he hadn't been afraid?

dogman used to have some videos on his youtube page but last time i checked they were either all removed or made to private.

Yes I use a leash to a collar and a leash to a harness with a handle. I no longer use two as I have much more of a handle on her. But if we go to a place where there could be others, I still double up. In case one breaks yes, but more so in case one gets yanked out of my hand. She was never really ok with him, but she new him and as long as he stayed away she was fine. But as soon as he picked up that club it was like a light switch went off. He was over at the new house yesterday, and no, she was not ok with that.

He honestly believes Kona is crazy. Not ahahaha that dogs crazy... But more like "Keep that dog way the hell away from me cause she's gonna snap" You can see in the last two pics, those are actually the first ones shot. On pic she starts to go at him and the leash is slack, next one she's full on and I',m leaned way back holding here

So all you are doing is agitation work something you do before the dog learns to start bite work. Do you have photos of the dog actually being serious and not being worked?

Cool.

Apollo's got a couple folks scared of him like that, though in his case he'd be fine with them now as long as I was present and they weren't threatening.

i do not have any videos on hand, unfortunately i lost alot of my old fila pics and vids on an old computer, they are there just not accessible at the moment and the filas i have now i have not personly temp tested any of them, would like to get them done this summer one is 3 today and the other will be 2 in june, no dog clubs that i know of around here that would tt them. I do have lots of storys of stupid people tt my dogs lol but never have a camera on hand and im to busy trying not to be dragged off my feet to think about it right at the moment lol, my bitch is 25inches at theshoulders and weighs 134lbs , its like holding back a bear when shes pissed. I don't encourage the lunging behavior as i take my filas with me were ever i go and expect them to be quiet and to just watch, with the odd woofing lol, so i am kinda on the fence with having them temp tested just cause i know its there boiling under the surface and i dont want to bring it totaly to the surface, does that make any sense lol is it right , probably not in some peoples eyes but in some peoples eyes i got mix bred filas, so i guess it works for me, brains and brawn its an awesome combo.

Heres the worst attack vid i have lol we just got dumped on with snow again and everyone was havin a blast chasin their dad and he was havin fun he loves his pups, yup still got the 3 hooligans cant seem to part with them and not for lack of people wanting them, just havent found the right ones yet lol

and by no means take what i said as having friendly filas, i keep a 10 foot buffer between people and my dogs, at that distance my filas sit by my side, you come closer and my filas stand up, you get closer and my filas move forward to bite you, i dont want them to think that now every person that comes towards them is going to be bad and need to be lunged at. filas are a very smart breed and have a memory like an elephant

That's interesting... Then how does one get a good Fila? Seems kinda pointless to breed a dog but not share it. Not exactly the best survival decision for a rare breed.

Puppies are sold to like minded breeders, friends, or by referral only. No advertising, shipping etc. Many are kept. Its difficult to find good specimens of any breed these days. The less popular this breed is the better.

look up brasileirokid in youtube I got some videos there. I am one of the few people that will put tup videos of temperament tests.... notice I said temperament tests. for the shows (CAFIB) these dogs can't be trained. If they are trained the judge will disqualify them. the point of the evaluation is to see what the dog's NATURAL reaction is not how good of a trainer you are. I had to make alot of videos private because people would use them to promote fake litters with them. Every other week I was finding other kennels, craigslist advertisements, etc. of people using my pictures and video to promote their kennel or just to scam someone.

The reason most people don't like the look of a Fila biting a sleeve is because the Fila aren't typically trained well or at all.....natural...my TT will be this summer hey Juan wanna do it? Your not too far if I remember

Brad she did'nt attack me ahahaha. She's my dog. Only thing I can think is in her mind he picked up a weapon. She was fine, till he found that golf club in the grass. once he had the club in his hand and she could see it, she went at him.

MF Kona is the same. If I have her on a lead, I can walk her all day around people long as we have a safty zone.
