Zits on the Muzzle

Just wondering....do any of the other English mastiffs have a "puppy acne" or whatever it is called --around the mouth. My English mastiff Chevy has ...well, several, and we think it might be from his undeterred interest in anything on the ground. Is this anything to cause concern?? Thanks. Have a nice day, all. Pastor Dave - some of the boys seems go though the zit phase when hormones kick in. Others its due to an irritant or allergy. They can rupture and bleed. Keeping the muzzle clean and dry does help. There are previous several threads on the topic of how to do that and what may be the culprit. Hope they help.

My dog had this issue too. The best thing I found to help with this was to use metal bowls for his food and water and WASH the bowls every day. Not just rinse, actually wash. That really helps my boys face.
