Yogurt!? It's ok right?

Holy crap! I just gave Dante a little yogurt (the top kinda stiff part) and he's going nuts. Drooled ALL OVER. Huge ropes of drool. And following me around, nearly stepping on me. I didn't realize it was such a treat! Any cautionary tales about yogurt & mastiffs? Other than the extreme drooling I mean :p

We always froze a cup of yogurt for our mastiff and he lived for it. I suppose you just want to make sure not to feed a flavor like chocolate. We usually did vanilla.

Regular plain yogurt is usually best without lots of sugar and what not. Greek yogurt is okay too. A little of the other stuff is okay on occasion.

I try to avoid the flavored ones, but oh yah, as long as your dog is good with milk products its fine, and can be good for them.

I thought about trying to make my dog a chocolate frozen treat like that once. It is possible to cook theobromine and caffeine out of chocolate so dogs could eat it. But once I started reading about it, it seemed quite complex hahaha soooo I gave up before I began.

Yogurt is fine to give, I give organic plain Greek yogurt to my dogs - they love it. I just wouldn't give a lot to them, especially if it's flavored.

Crap, I thought it said "4 lbs" at first lol

LOL so did I! I'll have to buy him his own tub. I almost used the same spoon I used for him for myself. Bleh!

They already have their own peanut butter. My 14 yr old step daughter was completely freaked out when she found out that she'd been eating from the same tub hahahahaha

Denna's drool train gets going if she sees the yogurt spoon coming her way, too... :)
Even for just the plain stuff...

Since I've been making myself yogurt smoothies lately, she gets to partake of the drippings... yogurt, almond milk, berries, peanut butter, flax, and a touch of honey. All good stuff. :)
